I just hope that we continue to play like we have and keep improving...
And if we do, I think we will beat Purdue just based on our overall athleticism compared to theirs. I may be way off but I just do not think they are as good as people think.

Agreed, I think that they are getting alot of credit right now for the close loss at MSU, but fact is they trailed that game by 10 late and made a bit of a run in garbage time. And with that said MSU seems to have a bit of an issue so far this season with putting away teams they are better than. So I take the "close" loss with a grain of salt. Purdues 5 losses this season are as follows:

At Clemson - Just lost at home to 9-5 Charlotte
At Missouri - A 5 loss team
Wofford - An 8-5 team at home, not so good
At Iowa St. - Another 5 loss team
At Mich St. - Kind of an expected loss

Their best win is over a Louisville team destroyed by injuries. Painter has some good things going on there but if we play like we have the past two weeks this could be a 8-12 point victory. Nothing is ever certain on the road in the Big 10 but the Bucks have a good chance in this one with Butler hopefully being back to 100% and the steadily increasing production from Diebler and Turner.

The 12 - 5 boilers come in Saturday looking to make up for a close loss to MS in the final moments. This marked at least 3 games they have lost in the final minutes this year. They definitely gave Sparty all it could handle.
Our win over a poor performance by Iowa looked as good as we have looked this year and I hope to see more of that kind of play against the Boilers.

Battered Boilers to take on OSU
Ohio State has won 14 of the last 15 meetings, including 8 straight.

of The News-Sentinel
WEST LAFAYETTE ? So what, Purdue coach Matt Painter said, that the Boilers are battered and ill. It?s still about production, not excuses, and with red-hot Ohio State coming to Mackey Arena on Saturday, Painter wants plenty of the former, none of the latter.

?People talk in theory about giving players rest or saving them up,? he said. ?Then (players) don?t have that learned behavior about fighting through something. When (adversity) happens in a game, you have to fight through that.?

Painter expects the Boilers to fight well against a team that has owned them in recent years (eight straight losses, 14 of the last 15). That depends on freshman forward Robbie Hummel?s recovery from the flu (he missed Tuesday?s Michigan State loss and was too ill to attend class on Wednesday) and how well forward Scott Martin and guard Tarance Crump deal with lingering ankle injuries.

All the games are important.

Well, if only one of Purdue or Ohio State is to make the tournament, then this game is more important.

It's far too difficult to get exciting about the Big Ten season this year unless we're playing Purdue, Wisconsin, Michigan State or Indiana.
