I thought he CLEARLY had the first, but no shame in loosing this game, it was a hard fought game by the good guys, it just didn't go our way :(

No shame here either, but the TP fumble would've never happened.

Tough loss against a tough opponent. We made a crucial mistake in the 4th quarter and that'll usually decide games like this, as I said at the time.

Credit to Penn State. They made no such mistakes, and they capitalized on their opportunity. I hope they go all the way now.

Team loss, but Pryor will take this one to heart and learn. The future is still very bright. Proud to be a Buckeye not matter what the outcome. We held their offense to 13 points.

Every loss is disappointing. Tough to take... But this was a well-played game for us, and a solid overall performance, with the exception of TP's fumble. That's to be expected and TP will learn from it.

Honestly, I'd rather have him make this type of mistake here and now (and learn from it) as opposed to next year or the year after when he has to be the undisputed leader on the team. We all knew that we've been fortunate to have TP play mistake-free ball and this is just reality setting in.

Penn State played a great game and earned that win. Gotta give them props for that and I'd be proud to have them represent the Big Ten if they get invited to the NC game. Also hope that Clark is okay (heard something about a concussion...).

Big props to the D for holding such a powerful offense to 13 pts.

Keep your heads up Buckeyes! We still have an ass-ripping to administer to TSUN next month.

:oh:

Fine, I agree with the dissapointment, but to say this is nearly the same PSU team is bull[censored] straight and simple.

THis is a very very good PSU team and I'm not sure why some don't realize that. I don't know why you think there is no excuse for losing to such a good team at home. Just because OSU had a good streak going doesn't mean [censored].

You are right on and a major difference for this PSU team is at the QB position.....Clark has been a tremendous improvement over Morelli....

Well, I don't mean to be overly negative, but at the same time a degree of honesty is necessary upon losing a game like this in the 'Shoe. This may well be the most disappointing team since 1995 or so. I know we're starting a freshman QB (which, in and of itself is the result of disappointment), but there is no excuse for losing to USC by 33 points or PSU at home. I find it hard to believe, particularly in light of last year's ass whipping we put on nearly the same PSU team, that we should have dropped this game. The OL has underperformed this season. The DL has underperformed this season. The backfield has underperformed this season. Special teams have been a disaster this season. The QB situation is what it is. The WRs have underperformed this season. The LBs have, at the very least, not improved. I hope the Frosh remember tonight.

i think i would agree with most of this.
in all my years of watching football (on all levels), i have never seen a complete team return so many front line (playing the majority of the snaps) players and regress. WHY???

last season i would have said that we had one of the countries top WR units. this season, we are in the top 5 in our conference.

our DL played an excellent game tonight but was let down by blown coverages in the secondary (committed by returning top level players). the majority of the secondary played well (they were aided by our DL getting pressure) but D-Washington was just picked apart.

special teams (return team) was a failure tonight. at this point in the season we are still trying to find a return specialist the coaches can feel comfortable in. Mo Wells fumbles a kick off that was heading out of bounds. Ray Small fall backwords inside of his 10 (maybe it was 15) making a fair catch.

partof me wants for us to wipe this season clean and build. i think we have an outstanding group of young players who are sitting on the bench while upperclassmen are failing to get the job done. I have no problem with Pryor throwing the interception at the end of the game. he saw an hartline break from two defenders and tried to lead him. he released the ball when hartline was even with the goal post and lead him to the pylon. had the ball been five feet deeper it is a TD. and next time it will be.

Guys, even if we won out there was absolutely no chance we get to the NC.

Some of us knew the NC was over weeks ago. That didn't make this game any less important. Winning would've been great for our team, and our fans. Unfortunately, we came up short.

I swear I sometimes wish there never was an "NC" game. There's more to Ohio State football than just the fucking NC game, but part of our fan base seems to have become obsessed with it. It's like, "well we can't play in the NC game so it doesn't matter." :roll2:

Ok, I hate to repost but I have to know. Did anybody else see Homan slap the officials hand away late in the game. It was shortly after a pass interference call I think. Homan was standing next to a pile up and the officials were clearing the pile up out. One of the officials came up behind Homan and grabbed his arm and he turned around looked at him like " get your filthy fucking hands off me," and then smacked his hand away.

There is a lot of talent on this team but something is lacking,,I can't put my finger on it but the 2002 team had it....I was thrilled with the play of the d line for the most part but when adversity hit they could not rise to the occasion and keep Devlin and PSU out of the end zone...Washington had a rough night as well as Browning but with the injuries no other option was available..To all tOSU fans no team is entitled to win every game..the two losses this year do not mean this team is terrible..maybe they have underachieved but the season and program goes on ...I ve been a fan when we were 6-5 and 12-0..I'm not going to bail now ...

to serious fans a big ten title and protecting home field matter just as much as the national title.

Here's the deal. PSU did exactly what they needed to to win this game. No penalties, no turnovers. Flawless football in that regard. I for one did not see anything remotely like this game coming. I thought the O may be sluggish and they were, I thought the D would play lights out and they did. The one turnover that really mattered didn't go tOSU's way and that's sports, and essentially life. The sun rises tomorrow, and hey, we all get to see the Bucks play next Saturday. It's not like we waited 52 days for one game, and now have to wait another 8 months.

Go Bucks.

Edit: I actually forgot that tOSU has a fucking bye week next week, but my point is essentially the same.
