Game Thread Ohio State 33, Washington 14 (Final)

True...but...

That is a normal goal for a top tier team...

On a side note, Herbie just said the B10 has been an embarrassment. I agree.

I like Herbie, but I think he panders too much. It seems he'll say one thing on ESPN to turn around and say different elsewhere (ie: the SEC speed subject around December.) He is probably the only non-sensationalist analyst they have, but he always just goes with the flow too.
And, other than tsun, I've yet to see what is so embarrassing about the B10.

5) Boeckman...too inconsistent. Great at times, horrid at times. No comment, but all of our minds are wandering towards a certain pup on the sideline. Todd came out strong in the second half and he deserves major props for that...but still, the WOW factor has not been there.
One thing that concerns me is that Boeckman really has to rear back and put his body into throws to the sidelines on the quick outs, and the ball still doesn't get there fast enough. Better corners are going to take that back for six. He got away with a couple today.

That throw was always Krenzel's Achilles Heel too (see Zemaitis/Penn State '03).

The big ten has been a huge disappointment so far I think... Here's why

OSU-we may be the best in the big ten, and we're a very very young team. We have made some of the scores closer than they had to be but we've been solid

PSU-Solid, but did look a bit off against ND, and gave up some points today to buffalo.

Wisconsin-Suppose to be top 10 team? Bull shit, they are giving up huge chunks of points. First to WSU, then to NMSU, and now today giving up 31 to the CITADEL!

Michinga- No need for explanations

Purdue- Giving up some points to inferior teams, and also putting up points on Inferior teams

MSU- After the first game of the year they've struggled the last two, but are 3-0 nonetheless.

Minny- Lost to Bowling Green, and almost lost to Miami of OHIO!

NW- they have struggled

Iowa- Looked bad against Northern Illinois, and lost today to IOWA State, who lost to Kent State.

Indiana- Been beating up on lesser teams, and had a dog fight with Akron today.

Illionois- Lost to Missouri and didn't look too good against Syracuse, and well syracuse is just horrible.

As of right now here's the peckin order on who's been playing the best.

1A) Ohio State (gets the nod because we've won away from home in a hostile environment)
1B) Penn State
2) Wisconsin
3) Purdue

When Wisconsin ( who almost lost to New Mexico state) and Purdue ( who is purdue) are in the top 4 teams in the coference then this is bad. Right now OSU would have a harder time if they played in the Big East, or even the ACC. I hate to say it but the teams have got to get better and in a hurry or we'll be the laughing stock of college football (if we already aren't)

Yeah, those were painful to watch. It seemed like the receivers were standing there all day before the ball arrived. If we could somehow combine Troy's velocity and scrambling ability with Boeckman's touch and size, we'd have a super quarterback.
