Dont be so sure. I read the same kind of things when we were gonna play arkansas, saying d-mac was gonna go crazy ,and when he got tired felix jones was gonna take over. Well, the d faired pretty well against those 2. Same with cadillac williams and ronnie brown. I think we did okay against them as well. I know, different players, different teams, but pretty much same coaches and the way they prepare. Wells is a good back, but I like our chances.:)

Yeah? Give em a back up QB and make em 40 point dogs.

Yep! Those darn conference games are tough! [ILLINOY] OOC SC does much better. Should we have beat stanford? Of course! Should OSU have beat illinoy? Of course! But, neither happened.

Standard retort, however the damn illini play us tough. I mean dude. It's Stanford.

I realize Arkansas was held in check, but do you honestly want to compare their defense to ours? There's no way you'll pull that 4 tds in 8 plays on the bucks. Jones fumbled three times, they threw 2 int's, and Mcfadden was hurt (9 carries). If OSU gives you those breaks (turnovers), including an injured Beanie, I don't see how we can win.

Now on the other hand, you have a somewhat mobile Pro Style QB that has virtually no big game experience. USC has not played a defense like this in the PAC-10 virtually ever, and they've got a green QB to boot? I really like our chances against your offense.

The last three OOC games we lost were to that year's NC team. Before that, you have to go all the way back to Tressel's first year losses to SCar and UCLA, which we could have won if we didn't have the worst QB in the history of the universe (I'm still pissed about the UCLA game). USC's OOC sched is more respectable than most top school's, but you can't compete with our last three seasons. Also, Illinois placed second in the conference last year, The Cardinal was two wins short of being bowl elligible.

I have a renewed interest in this game. I was going along all ho-hum about it.....but now I'm pumped.

Judging by the relatively low amount of traffic on this topic, I'd say there are a lot of others waiting to get down off the fence about this game. What gives? I am looking forward to this game more than I did either of the Texas games. In fact, not since ND in the 90s have I looked forward to an ooc game this much. Maybe once practices start and news starts flowing again, people will start getting really pumped. In the meantime.....

Go Bucks! Kick the snob..........errrrrr........I mean snot out of USC!

We're going to need to arrange a get together for everyone that's coming out. Looks like a ton of BPers are going to be in the area, and it would be a crime if we didn't at least meet up and tailgate together.

I can get tickets for free and am not coming out (ugh!). I had already committed to having a huge party at my place before somebody offered me the tickets and I can't back out now (it is also my best friend's 40th birthday party). I tried offering my friend one of the tickets to see if he would change his mind, but he said, "Nope, I would rather watch it with my friends and family." Now what kind of values are those? :)

Go Bucks!

Go Bucks!

I'd leave the house keys and tell 'em to lock up when they're done.
