Game Thread Ohio State 3, Southern Cal 35 (Sept. 13)

Yeah, very well could, but I think their fanbase falls into the same category as USC...some good diehard fans and a majority of fair weather fans. Actually, that's really unfair to USC now that I think about it. Cryami fans are probably some of th most pathetically idiotic fans in all of sports. If they are back to playing at a decent level, it could draw a good bit of interest from them. If not, I just look for a bunch of idiot flamers to laugh at.

 yea, I read the Miami scout board for laughs sometimes

5 years later they are STILL obsessing over the Fiesta Bowl and STILL trying to find ways to harass Terry Porter

As for the Trojan DL, I will believe that Fili Moala can handle Sedrick Ellis' double teams when I see it. Until then, I consider him over-rated.

In other words, last year SE got all the double teams. This year, Fili has to handle them. He might. But then, he very well might not.
Dont get me wrong, I am not saying fili is a big sed, but sed has said in interviews that fili is a very good player. I will take his word for it until proven otherwise.:)

Miami has had acouple good recruiting classes! Lets wait and see what shannon does with them.:)
I think he's talking about the comedy provided by their idiotic fans on this board. They're followed by an army of mouth-breathing wanna be gangstas for the most part.

Line play will be key. Does our "O" line get movement or does it get stuffed at the point of attack?
Do the "new" USC "O" line guys hold up to our veteran "D" line or does Sanchez get hurried?
Maybe a little of all those things.

... Usc fans are pretty passionate IMO, just some do not take time to get to know the game...

I don't doubt that you have found passionate fans there during the Pete Carroll year.

But I lived there for 5 years pre-Pete Carroll.

Unlike Ohio, unlike Texas (where I have also lived), unlike even Arizona; in my entire time living in Southern California I did not find ONE person who would engage in conversation about College Football EVEN during football season (except, as I've stated before, the people at the OSU game-watch location).

The ONLY thing about Tallahassee that is better than SoCal is the fact that I can talk college football with anyone I meet any time of year. And the Seminoles haven't been relevant for awhile now.

My sister still lives in Fillmore. I don't know what kind of guy your dad was to make you want to root for the other team, but my nieces, nephews and even my brother-in-law have become Buckeye fans while living in SoCall because they were only ever around ONE college football fan (my sister). They all tell me that there is still little in the way of fan interest out there compared to places that REALLY love football.

Man! If I didnt know where I was at, I would think I was talking to a sec fan! Just joking! My dad didnt force me to root for anyone! It was harmless competition that turned into a lifelong thing! Again, the problem with socal is MOST of the people that live there, like you and your sister, are from another state. Therefore, they bring the home state ties with them. I watched the angels and red sox ,and I am telling you, there was more red sox fans than angel fans! Thats a fact.

I get that your joking, but the truth is that SEC fans talk about football and nothing else. They seldom talk about their own experiences, and most have never been outside the South (a simple demographic fact, nothing more).

I was referring to the whole talk football with anyone comment. I do live in the south, but in south carolina the fans I cant stand are clemson fans, not gamecock fans! I actually kinda like Spurrier. He is always giving out discipline to his players, and when they underachieve in a game, he is the first to say it.:) If I keep rambling, I just finished a 12 pack, so I am kinda happy!
