You know, it really is a shame that Beanie Wells will not be playing in this game. Justin Forsett, Jonathan Stewart, and Rashard Mendenhall each had solid days against USC last year.

Forsett:
31 carries, 164 yards, 1 touchdown
2 catches, 45 yards

Mendenhall:
17 carries, 155 yards, 1 touchdown
5 catches, 59 yards

Stewart:
25 carries, 103 yards, 1 touchdown
2 catches, 21 yards

To me, USC's greatest weakness is it's run defense. They have been run over every single time they have played against an elite running back over the last few years, if you go back even farther. In a way, USC plays as many elite running backs as Ohio State plays against teams that use a very efficient spread offense.

Thus, I think that Ohio State can pull off the win if they play classic old Tresselball. The defense needs to show up and contain USC's numerous weapons. They cannot make a ton of mistakes. The offense needs to take whatever the defense gives them. The special teams unit will need to have solid net punting yards and net return yards. Today, Ohio State needs to play like a team. I think they can pull it off.

So I unfortunately watched Gameday. Corso picked pUSC so now I'm pretty confident we're going to win. Last year I went to the Division IV Football Title game and this is how my firends and I got fired up. Turns out Laurinitis uses the same method.
