OSU needs to play well on D, but fans make too much of the D's performance without actually looking in the game and looking at stats. LSU only got 326 offensive yards and Florida only got 373 offensive yards.

The O has to put their share in and convert long drives for TDs, score more than 20 points in needed time, and convert key 3rd downs too.

But please...please don't blame Heacock for this stuff and not even try to think about it...it is so overdone and I am very very tired of reading this over and over because people don't think.

Here's some thinking for you:

LSU TD: 14 plays, 65 yards
LSU TD: 7 plays, 84 yards
LSU TD: 10 plays, 66 yards
LSU TD: 13 plays, 80 yards
LSU TD: 9 plays, 53 yards

That's five TD drives, averaging 10.6 plays, 71.6 yards. They also converted 11 of 18 third downs. But they only gained 326 yards. :ohwell:

These situations are where Tressel is at his best.

The last time (before this one) I wasn't confident that the Buckeyes were going to win a game was the BCS championship game vs. Cryami.

Our Defense alone is good enough to keep us in it. We just have to make plays.

IMHO this is how we win this game today. I don't think we will have a problem with the run. Need to watch the passing. And the biggest thing is if we start putting pressure on Sanchez and making him scramble and get some sacks.

On offense we need to open up the play book and make USC adjust to our game. If we are making panic adjustments to USC's game I think it will be an uphill fight.

I'm in California and tired of so much pro-USC talk. Even the sports writers have done a 180 since the beginning of the season. We will win and shut them all up.
