Game Thread Ohio State 28, Troy 10 (Final, Sep. 20)

Do not discount the tough schedule Troy plays and their spread offense.
This game will be very interesting if we show up flat, which is likely.
And what happens if we should lose at SC? How will that mentally effect this team? We could be looking at a real disaster. Just sayin'......

Yeah, but you're always saying that. They lost their OC to Auburn, their QB, RB, 2/3 WR on offense and both corners on a bad defense.

#57 ranked defense..Illinois was #55 ranked., not that bad. We know what Illinois did.
And a similar offense to Illinois, not the best combination for us to face any time. Timing is important in this game. Week after a huge game. Short practice week. We can't afford to let this team hang with us. We can't play them even. The will probably be conference champion. They are dangerous.
This game will be ugly! Just watch....

There is a major talent difference between the teams the Illini played and the teams Troy played, surely you can see that. They lost their best offensive players and offensive coordinator. Their strength on defense was against the pass and they lost a high NFL draft pick and their other starting CB. They may hang close for a little bit, but if the Bucks don't win by 3 TD's, I'll eat my hat.

Taos, you warn us with your worries about 3-4 games every year, yet never seem to factor in those results into whether you should continue worrying the following year.

No, not really.
LSU > Georgia
UM - Florida
Wisconsin > Oklahoma State
Illinois > Arkansas
PSU > (pick one)

Even if you put Florida over UM, that is not a tougher schedule.

I'll give UF an edge based on the different UM squad OSU saw, though I think Todd:Brian would look like Tom:Randy against that UF defense. Still, the rest of the schedule does not hold up.

Troy certainly is to be praised for their scheduling, nonetheless. They can't help their conference's ability.
