Wear or paint yourself Scarlet this Saturday vs. Iowa






The season-long "Scarlet-Fever" promotion at Ohio State football games concludesa in the home finale vs. Iowa. The Buckeyes and Hawkeyes - both 5-1 in Big Ten play - will vie to clinch a share of the 2009 conference title at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Ohio Stadium.

Buckeye fans are asked to wear scarlet Saturday as the Buckeyes look to grab of piece of their fifth consecutive Big Ten championship and their first Rose Bowl berth since 1997.

The sad thing is it's a huge difference when OSU asks people to wear scarlet. A 1/3 of the stadium wears white, black, or something random.

At least they don't have UM colored ponchos any more.

They sent an email out to everyone at OSU for all of the "Scarlet Fever" and "Paint the Town Scarlet" events so I'm sure they'll send one on Thursday or Friday if they want to do it again.

One thing I would love to see change at OSU is have all student sections be first come first serve, not just Block Os. That way the students that WANT to be there and get there early are closer to the field and it would only help with how LOUD the stadium could get! Wearing scarlet is great, I will. But even if you were black, grey, or green...JUST BE LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!! It'd be cool to see everyone, not just the students, doing the Buckeye Bounce to Seven Nation Army.
