I've played this game in my head also about 1,000,000 times this past week.

Ohio State is going to have to show me something. As much as I absolutely and totally want them to destroy those inbred sister-fucker drunks, I can't rationally pick them to win it at this point and time.

In other words, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE prove me wrong.

Penn State 17

Ohio State 6

:sad: :cry::sad2:

Ohio State showed me, and the nation, something. And I'm damned glad I was completely wrong. :oh:

"Junior year. State championship game and it certainly wasn't for lack of effort on his part."

I confirm this... If anyone watched that game the comments from his coach saying Pryor is not looking good would have made for no news.

Anyway awesome win and hands down the best performance Pryor has had as a Buckeye. This game was a MAJOR step forward for him.

My thoughts....

How about Zach Boren? He was blowing people off the ball, and also proved to be a decent threat in the flats for picking up those short 3rd down situations. He did an excellent job and even Matt Millan pointed him out a few times. Outstanding job by him, and also the Oline.

PSU knew after a while we were going to just run it right at them but even with this knowledge the oline still opened up holes and the backs still whiggled and drove for extra yards. It wasn't always pretty but Excellent game plan I think by putting everything under center to eliminate a botched snap etc.

Also how about Pryor? He doesn't turn the ball over again, picks up IMPORTANT yards with his legs, and if not for about 3 or so drops he really had an excellent efficient day. I wish he could've connected with Dane before the half, but atleast he over threw it instead of underthrew it. You can tell that Pryor is really starting to get things on a roll, and realize just how to manage an offense. He just needs to play within his capabilities and I feel he's starting to recognize that. Another good game by pryor though. Not great but against a good defense i'll take this effort.

As for the defense. What more can be said? If we didn't get to DC we were in his face forcing bad throws. We probably should've had another 2-3 sacks if it wasn't for Clark getting rid of the ball at the very last possible second (one of those last second passes ended up going for 20+ yards to zuggs). I thought besides Heyward that Gibson just played outstanding. The play were he stayed home on that pitch to Royster and managed to run him down shows just how good he really is. All the linebackers played great too with Homan/Rolle Really standing out, and it was good to see Spitler in on some pressures as well. The secondary just had to be saftey first and they were that and then some. They essentially gave them NO room to complete passes.

Only things I'd like to see improvement on is when we're in 3rd and short situations I thought we really gave them a 5-10 yard cusion a couple of times that led to big gains by Zuggs. There really isn't much I can complain about to be honest. As long as Pryor continues to not turn the ball over and plays smart football I feel we'll continue to improve.

Scout.com: Instant Analysis - Ohio State 24, Penn St 7

In what was supposed to be a referendum on Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor, the Buckeye defense showed that it still isn?t all about the guy under center in Columbus. Pryor was effective but not spectacular, throwing for two touchdown passes, but the OSU D was absolutely dominant, allowing a mere 201 total yards and completely overpowering the overmatched PSU front five. With the Nittany Lion ground game completely under control (76 yards), the Buckeyes could concentrate on keeping Darryl Clark from hurting them. Mission accomplished...
