thanks, I couldn't find that link for some reason...

Couple inaccuracies.

Player Bio: Mark Dantonio :: Football

Coach D was the secondary coach and not the D coordinator in 98' He was promoted to Associate Head Coach in 00'.

Also TJ Williams is the second best receiver on the team by far, but has been playing corner due to injuries, he's back at WR (and was last week vs Indiana) barring any more injuries.

Player Bio: T.J. Williams :: Football

He and Terry Love (both were demoted due to off season issues early in the season (Williams didn't even dress for the first 2 cupcakes) hence the lower #'s, now out of the doghouse) are really the 2nd & 3rd receivers when the chips are down.

cfn.scout.com says on their TV coverage that Cal v. UCLA and MSU v Ohio State will be mirrored on ABC/ESPN2, the other 330 games say 'ABC/GP' so for the dislocated I think you are going to be alright. I mean we are #1 again so if a game WAS regional, I think it WILL BE nationally mirrored as long as we are #1.

As st8ofmind mentioned, Coach D was not DC at MSU in '98, but rather was the position coach for the DBs. Obviously you've got Mike Tressel, Dick's son/JT's nephew, who is the special teams coordinator and LB coach at MSU but you could also add the following:

# Donny Treadwell is MSU's OC -- played at Miami OH in '79, where JT was his position coach. Treadwell was JT's OC at YSU for several years.

# Dave Warner, MSU's QB coach -- played at Syracuse in '80 & '81, where JT was his QB coach.

# Mark Staten, one of the MSU line coaches -- was a GA at OSU for two years under JT.

The truth, plain and simple, is that the Spartans have done a fine job of denigrating themselves on the field for a number of years. I think they will play Ohio State and TSUN much tougher in the future under Dantonio.

That said, although I think that Dantonio is moving things in the right direction in East Lansing, he has a lot of history and entrenched behaviors to overcome.

The computers all have it at 20-22 points and Vegas has it at 35-17, in favor of the Buckeyes. That looks about right to me given previous games for both teams. However, I am not unduly worried about Ringer and expect that the Buckeyes are going to be very interested in showing the country that they deserve their ranking.

Ohio State 38 MSU 6

I agree. I think the Buckeyes are going to go into the game with wanting to prove their ranking and will dominate Michigan State.

I think JT, bless his soul, will do just enough to win.

That will probably be his plan the next five weeks.... don't do anything against MSU that can be used by PSU, Wisky, Illinois, scUM.

On the other hand, I hope Boeckman has 475 yards passing. Or rather, I hope the Buckeye quarterbacks together have 475 yards passing.

Let Beanie sit the second half again.

OSU 44, MSU10

Go Bucks, just win, baby.

If 44-10 is "just enough to win," I'll be a happy camper.

I'd be worried about this game even if 1998 and 1974 had not happened.

I think they would have beaten Northwestern if Wisconsin had not beaten the crap out of them the week before in the trenches.

But, on that note, their defense is kinda soft.

Their running game is pretty good, and Hoyer is gaining some solid experience as he goes through every game. One of the best quarterbacks in the Big Ten. Can't really move though. Hoyer almost drove Michigan State to the win over Wisconsin. As stated in the game preview, some great balance on offense as well.

But yeah, Buckeyes are just a better overall team. They have that offensive balance, a better passing game, and a much better defense.
