Game Thread Ohio State 20, Wisconsin 17 (Oct. 4)

Wisconsin is a much better team that PSU running the ball (better line IMO, and better RB's), but PSU is the more diverse offense "SPREAD HD".

We just have to come out and keep getting better all around and everything will turn out OK.

My un-cosmic thoughts about todays game

The DL needs major re-work... they don't seem to be physically strong enuf.. they don't seem to be quick enuf... would like to see Simon more... whatever we do this season will be a direct function of this unit...

The OL is not cohesive.. they don't look like a well oiled coordinated unit.. I still think this can be corrected...

These are the root of all the ills... they are the cause of the LBs not having better seasons... and why Boeckman could not be successful...

Terrell will not be able to lob those balls in a BCS game
Ray Small has concentration issues
Mo Wells does things that do not show up on a stat sheet
What is wrong with our WRs and dropping passes

Beanie is outrageous and changes the entire game
Jenkins is outrageous and changes the entire game
Homan was the best LB today

That hit on Boom was rediculous, no way in hell he knew his name after that one, I hope he's alright
was that as dirty as it looked on the replay? He didn't seem to be anywhere near the play nor trying to get involved.

That was a pretty powerful Wisconsin team that we beat. Their running game is at least as PSU and their wideout isn't too bad. Very grateful for the win. Pryor made the play, but the punter (can't remember his name right now) and Beanie kept us in this game. The effort of the wide receivers tonight...saine, robo, hartline, small, sanzo....no comment.

Agreed on everyone but Sanzenbacher. The Brians need to be more agressive in going for the ball, IMHO.

IIRC, TP rolled out to the side Boom was on, it may have been within 5 yards, but a hit like that isn't defending a receiver, it's hitting someone. There was never a pass, and from the view that they show, it seemed like he wasn't doing much, maybe running a route.

yeah i was a little too tough on sanzo. the dude was knocked out. ok.

but yeah, robo is our team captain here. i'm not taunting the kid. but you gotta have two hands in order to catch the football. that ball was right where it needed to be, the db had no shot. mb the db was playing a little rough, but when you are a leader of a team, especially with a freshman QB, you gotta do the basic things such as having two hands to make a play for the ball. great awareness on the hartline fumble. I'll give him some greens for that.
