Game Thread Ohio State 20, Wisconsin 17 (Oct. 4)

was that as dirty as it looked on the replay? He didn't seem to be anywhere near the play nor trying to get involved.

That's tough man...Pryor was scrambling, Boom had his hands up calling for the ball, the Wisky player was coming off a block...that's just hardnosed football to me.

I didn't rewatch it, so I'll take your word on it. I thought he appeared to be drifting downfield aimlessly a bit, but if he was looking for the ball, that does change it a bit.

but yeah, robo is our team captain here. i'm not taunting the kid. but you gotta have two hands in order to catch the football. that ball was right where it needed to be, the db had no shot. mb the db was playing a little rough, but when you are a leader of a team, especially with a freshman QB, you gotta do the basic things such as having two hands to make a play for the ball. great awareness on the hartline fumble. I'll give him some greens for that.
The DB had two hands locked around his other arm. Brian is not always as aggressive as needed, but that was on the coverage, which that DB got away with regularly (which I suppose made it a savvy approach). This was nothing like the Troy deep ball.

Yeah, in the replay they showed, it looked like Boom was just drifting; as the camera was zoomed in on him. The Wisky guy did come off a block, and TP was scrambling that way, I just don't think the defender looked to see if there was ever a pass. He just hit Boom unexpected, and hit him VERY hard.

what do you mean that the db got away with it regularly? have you been watching him on coverage every play of this game? i respect your opinion that it was tough coverage. i agree that it was tough coverage too. but rough coverage to me usually means your body or arms get pushed out of position before the ball arrives, not you only have one arm to make a play on the ball. just my opinion. i'm sure you are more observant.

The thing is on the hit on Boom, you can't just take out a receiver, and the Qb had rolled out, but he was not across the line of scrimmage...

Maybe not a dirty play, as the guy was coming off the block, but for sure an illegal play...

And lets not talk about the play that was not reviewed when the guy fumbled the ball out of the endzone and should of been a touchback...

His knee clearly hit before it hit the ground, though you'd never know with the absolutely clueless announcer working this game. Give me the BTN anyday over that endlessly confused play by play man.

Great win for the team. I'm a little distressed by the amount of mistakes, and the defensive line play. But when push came to shove they showed up and made some plays.

Gotta give it to Beanie for putting every ounce he had into the game. He's not even 100% and puts up 168 yards. We are lucky to have him. Very lucky.

Pryor still holds on to the ball too long, but hell I wouldnt want anyone else holding onto it other than him. He is a spectacular athlete, and an even better competitor. He is our QB and not Michigans, and thank god for that.

I hope Sanzenbacher and Herron get better because we are going to need them down the stretch. Granted it maybe called hard nose football, but taking someone out is not what I call kosher.

I believe that was the same DB that hooked Saine's arm on the INT earlier..

IIR... he (Valai) had just come off a block (like grad said) and was maybe a step into his turn when he ran into / hit Boom.

Valai might have been able to avoid it, but it happened very fast. Boom didn't even see him coming from his right side.
