It’s been quiet on OSU’s part regarding Powers lately. But he’s been making several other visits(as he should). Wonder if he’s being told to wait and doesn’t have an ”offer”. I guess time will tell

I can see this battle being over going to the big school and possibly never getting a chance to shine vs going to schools where he can make an impact within 2yrs. And add to the latter going to an academic institution like NW and getting to star. Difficult decision

The CBs for the NJ S mean this one is headed in another direction. And with Pitt getting CBs for their future S. Mr. Powers may be headed to East Lansing if I was a betting man. Though it wouldn’t surprise me if he chose UC for a better opportunity at early PT

Seemed like he was a sure thing after the offer, but he never pulled the trigger. C'est la vie.

I’m starting to wonder if it was an OFFER… I wanted him in the class when they initially offered and my excitement continued until there was a real possibility to land Woodward or Bolden. And when I never heard much positivity regarding his coverage skills, my excitement began to wane. Because in this defense he’s more of a LB than S, but he doesn’t have the freakish profile of someone like Sonny Styles(or even what Dorian Brew is rumored to be turning into)

Always a crap shoot. Potential certainly, weaknesses yeah, who's out there we'll see. The ebb and flow of recruiting is not for the faint of heart. Styles will most likely be gone after this season and the next, so he might work out. Bolden looks like a goner to UGA, and Woodyard might be more of a possibility (this week anyway), before some other southern university looks his way. Dorian Brew seems like the answer, but he's still year or so away from reality. Hard telling.
