For all the talk of sentimentality, there is something to be said for having a core of the team being guys that bleed scarlet and gray since childhood. Guys like Lee, Powell, Jalin, Perry, Decker, Cardale... they weren't the guys drafted 3,4, or 10... two of them weren't even drafted... but they were vital in setting the tone and instilling the culture.
Cooper was pretty good at pulling in blue chip talent from around the country, but we all know what happened to his teams in November and January. Not saying that's going to happen again, just a demonstration that it's not purely about emotional attachment.
Urban has done a great job up to now balancing elite talent from outwith with Ohio's best, unfortunately the numbers are really difficult this year with unprecedented national interest.

I hope come NLOID that places have been found for Sibley and Harris in this class. Seen patience rewarded in the past.

Good that he hasn't written off OSU... yet. Its business and at least he understands that, but he seems quite disappointed in having to make an alternate decision to attending OSU(on scholarship)
