The Marshall Plan
It only took one camp performance in front of Alford for Marshall to earn his offer from the Buckeyes.From there the 5-foot-10, 190-pound running back had one of the best season’s in Ohio this past fall. Marshall rushed for 1,961 yards and 30 touchdowns, some of the best numbers throughout the state.
His game mirrors that of former Buckeye great J.K. Dobbins. Marshall has all the size and power to run through people, but he also has the speed and elusiveness to run past people too.
He’s the rare kind of talent that the state of Ohio produces where he plays like he’s from a state that has spring football available. The Buckeyes are fighting to keep the in-state prospect home but there are a few programs waging a good battle.
Michigan is the school to watch as an immediate threat to Ohio State. Tennessee and Wisconsin are creeping into the fold as well for Marshall’s pledge.

Marshall told 247Sports that he is planning to take officials in the spring, possibly into summer and then decide and commit in the summer before his senior year.

Where's the dislike button? Guess my Cincy source was dead on that Marshall was a long shot. Hate that he ended up at scUM though.

It’s been a loud rumor in Cincinnati for months that he was scUM bound. I heard from co-workers around November ‘22 that scUM was leading due to academics, wanting to leave home and the way they utilize their RBs. I’m sure when he’s interviewed he’ll say essentially the same. I hate to admit it, but he fits the scUM offense much better than he would with OSU & Day, IMO. He will get fed the ball, and not have to share many carries when he’s the starter. At OSU he would have to share the ball, catch in spac, and have to block defenders. He’s a mix of Corum and Hart for them. SWD can play that role of a bruiser with decent speed (a lower tier type of Marshall), and Peoples will be the stud RB in ‘24(though there are still several other top options as well)
