Welcome to the fam Tavien! I've been speaking him up for a while, and wasn't so keen that OSU would just take Montgomery. No knock on him, but St. Clair's ceiling is VERY high! I wouldn't be surprised if he became #1 in OH by his senior year, and got close to 5star status. The way he camps, I wouldn't be surprised if more national recruits now look more into him due to this commitment. Day just got one of the highest of ceiling, but raw QBs. His HS development will be as fun to watch as his development at OSU

I like St. Clair, because he's a Ohio kid who will most likely stick around and wait his turn, while Noland does his thing. Getting a 5 star kid from some other state, will probably bring a kid who expects to start within the first 3 years. If we get one great year from St. Clair that fits with what we need. That is probably what we should realistically expect.

247Sports ranks St. Clair as the nation’s No. 13 quarterback and No. 246 prospect overall. He will be a stock-up player in our rankings after seeing him throw this summer.

"We knew he was athletic and productive," 247Sports National Analyst Allen Trieu said. "I think when we saw him throw in person, his throwing motion was very easy and consistent. He was much more polished than we expected. Especially for a 2025 guy, one that is not from necessarily the biggest high school in Ohio. He's definitely further along than given credit for and in person you get an appreciation for how big he is. He's a physically good looking kid.

He's got Dwayne Haskins-type size but with a sneaky Joe Burrow-type athleticism alongside a CJ Stroud-type ability as a natural thrower of the football. It's a really good combination of traits and that's why I believe he'd be a five-star prospect if he was from a bigger school in Ohio or from Texas, Georgia, Florida or California.

No quarterback is "can't miss" but the sky is the limit for Tavien St. Clair.

Once Wiltfong dropped his article, watch the ratings rise. National guys finally know about him. I can see his bump after the summer propelling him into the 150-200 for his senior season.

The Birm comparisons just have me salivating, tbh!

Birm was so spot on in that podcast, really there is no great comparison for Tavien in terms of one specific QB that played here imo. Part of that is he is still developing, but he can just be Tavien and we will be lucky to have him. This is so exciting and way earlier than expected.

I think he goes much higher and ends up being 5* or very high 4*. I think St. Clair in the '25 class and Sayin (Bama commit) in the '24 class have boosted their stocks more than any other QBs so far this summer. Still plenty of time to go.
