2026 OH OL Adam Guthrie (Verbal Offer)

Day and Frye both going to Washington Court House to see Guthrie tells you all you need to know about how much we want him in this class. We always say watch what a recruit does and not what they say, and the same is true when Day and Frye put full court press on this early after just enjoying a Natty. Guthrie is a priority and for good reason.

Per BK, OT Adam Guthrie and his team are reaching out to schools all across the country trying to get his offer number up to 50. He is now up to an insane 43 offers.
For reference, #1 OT Jackson Cantwell has 30 offers.
Guthrie seems to be enjoying the process and wants to take a ton of visits.

Per Birm, Ohio State really wants Adam Guthrie to shut things down soon so they can kickstart his development.
The staff sees him as a longer developing project OT, which is why they waited so long to officially offer him.

Will be interesting to see how things unfold here, certainly can't fault a player for enjoying the process but there is a balance.

I agree it's going to take a bit for him to develop at OT, but the tools are there in droves to be great. The reality is it usually takes any recruit time to develop into the OT position. I thought Montgomery was game ready coming in, but he himself admits it was halfway into this year where he was actually ready. We don't need him to be ready coming in, but the rewards are going to be there when he is ready.

On enjoying the process, if you've ever been to Washington Court House, you'll understand why a kid would enjoy his moment in the sun. Not a bad town at all but it is rural Ohio defined. Go ahead and enjoy it, then commit to the Bucks like he knows he will.

Same HS as Nathan Williams. Would love that sort of career at Ohio State

This right here.

Hardcore Buckeye country but leaves a young man with a lot of opportunity to go see the world.
