Official "What The *&#!" of the Day Thread

We all encounter things on a daily basis that make you pause and wonder what someone was thinking. I figured we might want to share and keep track of some of them.

I was at a meeting today and we always have a prayer to start. The person leading the prayer thanked God for the death of Al-Zarqawi. I'm sure many people were hoping for his death, however, it was a bit surprising to hear someone actually thank God for someone being killed. Just one of those things that catches you off guard.

well back to the topic of the thread... I umpired a recreation baseball game today. It was 13 and 14 year old kids. So I was behind the plate and there was a close play at home that didn't go the cather's team's way. Well after a few pitches of him constantly making annoying remarks about the call, I told him he had better knock it off because it was getting really annoying. Well the next pitch I get down behind the plate and the pitcher winds and delivers and as soon as he does, the cather jumps out of the way. Fortunatly the pitch was 2 feet outside and I didn't get hit. Well anyways I immediatly ejected the catcher for being a dumb ass and his dad was pretty pissed at me. I guess it's kind of sad to think that 13 or 14 year old kids will try to hurt someone for making a questionable call...

That being said, I am the best umpire in the world  .

OK, here isone from late last week.

There is a guy, he has an account on domain A. He logs onto domain A from a pc in domain C, He can't browse the web. He calls to the helpdesk in domain A, and they ask my why he can't browse? Um, dumbass... maybe it is because you aren't coming from inside the domain? There is no machine account... Fuck, I am not going to get out of this without looking like a dork am I...

He's a dumbass, and you will just have to take my word for it!!!!!

For any of you that are just as much of a dork as I, IE policy is machine based...

That is PRECISELY what I was thinking.

Ok, let me try this (be gentle, it's been a while )

he is on a machine in domain C

he is logging into domain A with an account from domain A

Policy (what tells the machine what proxy to use for what ports and how to connect to the internet) is machine based, meaning that when applied it looks and says "oh, this pc is on this domain so it needs to connect this way from this proxy", now proxy authentication is user based. Policy told the machine to connect to the Internet this way, but the idiot doesn't have a valid account on domain C because he is using his account for domain A. So, disproving the Pythagorean theorem in this case (A2+b2=c2) Logging onto domain A and trying to connect through domain B, does not give you connectivity C! (Yes, I have to change the verbiage around to fit the theorem, you bastards!!)

I really can't make it simpler than that. Well, at least on a West High edumacation and the Algebra classes of Dr. Ahkmesomethingorother at tOSU.
