Official Server Upgrade discussion

There's a time issue, it's off a few hours. I'll fix that tonight when no one is on, otherwise there will be a problem with posting.

Okay, we're on the new box.

It is indeed fast. But it's still going to get faster.

1. We're running vB 3.0.1. 3.5.0 is much faster.
2. We're running with 2GB of our 4GB ram.
3. No compression is on, there will be some later.
4. mySQL is running with default settings, it will be tweaked for speed later.

Bottom line is we haven't seen how fast it's going to be yet.

But hey, we're on it now. It's noticeably quicker. I'm going to sleep.

THERE MAY BE THINGS AROUND THE SITE THAT DON'T WORK!

Don't sweat it if you find something. Just please come back to this thread, and detail it as best you can. What, where, when. I'll fix it tonight.

Should only take 24-48 hours for the domain name to move over. I've already put in the request.

I would just like to thank my parents for raising me the right way. I'd also like to thank God for always being there for me, and a special thanks goes out to the PCP, not that they exist, but if they did, I would thank them here. Most of all, the biggest thanks goes out to C-dog for putting in such an amazing amount of time, energy, and personal resources to help me accomplish this fantastic feat. It was hard work on my part well, as I've been practicing this for almost two years now, with hardly a break. Special shout-out to Dryden as well, for making all this possible.

Edit: Just realized everyone else is as fast as I am now. DAMN IT!
