Official NCAA 2007 Info Thread (Merged)

I can't believe our offense is only a B+. I think A- is more accurate.

Read my post man. Those rankings are from last year.

BN27 posted a link that showed the rankings of the top players. It also included the Top Teams and what their rankings will probably be. OSU is ranked #1 in offense.

No, they're changing the reaction time of the defense to stop a qb scramble. I guess they just don't think he's that fast.
<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
I don't think Troy is very fast... I think he has good speed, great agility, and excellent strength. I'd probably put him as an 84 spd, so 80 is not a big sleight IMO.

the most glaring flaw I've seen is that they rated the ND defense a B+.

All of the gameplay vids have seemed choppy to me. I hope that isn't their final engine.

Also, good running qb's can take over a game in college, but i am really excited to see a better db play on those runs.

re: recruiting in Pennsylvania

...yea Rory Nichol, Devon Lyons, maybe a few others since Tressel took over, but there was a lapse from the mid-late 90's to about '03 for PA recruiting.
The first kid I can remember before that was a walk-on in the Spring of 2001, I looked at the roster, don't what happened to that him, but saw him at a few spring practices, great hands, quick receiver:

Ohio State Football 2001 Spring: WR #24 Tyler Kelly, 6'1 or 6'2'' 175 ?, Hometown: Butler,PA High School: Kiski Prep (PA)

I agree. Anywhere between 80 and 84 is plenty fair. He's not an extremely elusive or fleet footed runner. Also, I thought he was an 84 speed last year, and that was after ending the previous season with a huge rushing game against scUM.

The only QBs that should have 90 speeds are the really fast guys. Now that Vince, Reggie and Markus are all in the NFL, I can't think of a QB that should be rated that highly in speed. Maybe Xavier Lee and Bobby Reid? I can't recall how fast those guys are.

Now then, that being said, I hope that if I recruit a QB that runs a legitimate 4.3 - 4.4 during scouting, that his speed will then be in the 90's.
