I'm traveling with 6 people (all family... 4 others backed out:()... Two of the folks in my group fly in on Monday afternoon, so we cannot make it to the tailgate until late afternoon/early evening.

Post where it will be, what markers you will use to indicate it is the BP tailgate, and we'll swing by a few hours before the game...

Anybody else staying at the Double Tree on canal? If so I know of 6 drunk bastards that will be there:tongue2: (at least we will be by the time we check-in through the time we check-out :biggrin:)

It is being transformed into Varsity Club South! We are going to need a place to escape the home crowd for some good times and enteratinment. Ernst Cafe is right near Harrah's Casino, so there will be plenty to do in the area. This will be an all weeeknd Buckeye Bash! This is being thrown by the OSU NOLA Alumni chapter! Unlike year's past where there are groups all spread throughout the area in AZ, we will be closely packed in down in NOLA. So head to the classier and safer part of the city and enjoy. There are all-you-can-drink packages and tons to do. I leave for the airport at 4am and I AM PUMPED! I have my "Beat LSwho" shirt on and will be ready to hear "OH!" in the connecting airports like every bowl trip. So remember if you are looking for some friendly confines, good eats, great drinks, and some Southern flare, head to Ernst Cafe!

I have heard some good things about the Ernst Cafe...NOLA Buckeye et al...what is the best spot to tailgate? Where will your tailgate be?

Guess What Happened to Me?

So many times fans go to bowl games with stories after they come back. Now, with more people having laptops and WiFi connections they can post things quicker.

I would love to hear about things you guys experience in New Orleans, good and bad, as they happen. We have some great fans in Louisiana and of course as everyone else, some bad ones. I can say that when I talk to any Ohio State fans, I will be thanking them for coming to New Orleans and hoping they have a good time, except for the outcome of the game of course.

Too many times only the bad experiences are mentioned and blown out of proportion since there is usually two sides to a story.

I'll start, by saying that I have not run into any OSU fans yet, but I expect that to change shortly. I'm picking up another Tiger fan at the airport in a couple of hours. And we will be hitting the streets.

I'll be back to post good and bad fan stories. I'm hoping they will only be good.

Just got back from Bourbon street, it is in walking distance from my dorm in downtown New Orleans, I saw the Ohio State 18-wheeler parked out in front of the superdome unloading equipment or something, anyway the French Quarter is a sea of red and gray at this point. There are Ohio State fans everywhere, I am impressed. I already had a dozen raw oysters from Acme Oyster House and a handgrenade from Tropical Isle. Its going to be a great weekend
