Official Cleveland Browns Draft Thread

I am a bengals fan and I think this whole brady quinn mess in nonsense too. I dont care if brady quinn is the next peyton manning, if the browns draft him with their first pick he will be ruined before he ever sees a playoff game. You have to have a line to protect your quarterback before you can expect him to be effective. If the browns were smart they would forget all about quarterbacks this year and get themselves a couple linemen. No on they draft will get them into the playoffs in this division, so just build up the lines and maybe next year they can draft a quarterback that has someone to keep him off his back.

This is a great point that has already been made a couple times. No line=no offense. On top of this do not forget the Browns have one of the worst defensive lines too. This is another area that desperately needs to be addressed.

The Bengals had a poor line to when they drafted Carson Palmer. Drafting guys in Steinbach in the 2nd helped build the line while Carson sat on the bench.

Logic plays little role in draft's tiebreakers

The Browns lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 22-7, on Dec. 24, but still have to flip a coin to decide which 4-12 team drafts third and which drafts fourth.
Why?
It's one of the most-asked questions of the off-season, and the NFL does not have an explanation.

Me too, but knowing the Browns usual luck he will not be available.

If it is not I would prefer they trade down for another second round pick, and still be able to get a quality pick in the 1st.

why would we pass on a chance to get an immediate impact player like AD? this draft is very top heavy. horrible idea

thomas will be there at #3, but hes a reach there. we also have shafer who we just gave a six year deal too. we're not taking a LT at #3

not to mention a late 1st and early 2nd isn't equal value for our 3rd pick

I just saw a projection for Thomas #2 to Detroit. Shafer can play RT and who knows what is up with Tucker. If the Browns pass on Thomas for Quinn I'll quit being a fan. If Thomas is taken I would be fine with AP, CJ, or a trade down. No more scUMers.

We need a Vbet on who will get drafted first by the browns BQ or Thomas.

I can't imagine the Browns giving up on Charlie Frye really only after one year.

If he wasn't running for his life every other play, I think he'd be adequate at the very least.

Joe Thomas would fix that big time. Brady Quinn wouldn't.

I hope Phil Savage sees it this way.

Romeo made the statement that he hasn't ruled out keeping Frye, Anderson, and Dorsey as their three QB's for next year. I sure hope that is just pre-draft b.s. Evn if they plan to stay with Frye, they better get somebody else in there in case he goes down again.

I guess what I'm saying is that Ken Dorsey should hit the bricks...
