Official Cleveland Browns Draft Thread

Somebody bring king rhabuf back from the ledge. :wink2:

:slappy: That is one of the first things I though of when the Browns took Thomas. I can't wait to watch the camera on him after every pick for the next hour, as he sweats it out. Where does he possibly go now?? I am so happy we got JT. Between him and Steinbach, our line has just improved tremendously. That just makes every other offensive player on this team better, immediately. Way to go Brownies!!!

Just got home and off of work and I just now find out who my Brownies select and they get Joe Thomas........YES!!!!!!!!!! Great pick I wanted CJ but he wasn't there and my next favorite was Thomas. Great move because we needed to address the OL and it's about time we finally did it. Welcome to the family Mr. Thomas I never rooted for you in college because you were a badger but I will root for you now. Can't wait to see what they do in the 2nd round. :groove:

Also even though I didn't want him being drafted by Cleveland I do feel sorry for Brady Quinn. He is a good kid and I do wish him well. I hate Notre Dame but I have never hated Brady Quinn. Hope he gets drafted by someone soon.

oh great, ESPiN is now claiming Cleveland should trade next year's picks to get Quinn now. Quinn can't do anything for this team now or in the near future IMO -- and that kind of move is something you do when you're in the window to win it all, not when you're a crap team trying to build.

I'll be honest I didn't want him with our first pick and don't want them to trade up or give up future picks but if Quinn is there in the 2nd round with our pick I wouldn't mind drafting him.

I agree with that sentiment. I do think he's a good pick in the mid-to-late 1st. So I'd consider him a bit of a steal in the 2nd. But I seriously doubt he'll be there too.

Imagine if Quinn lasted long enough till the 2nd round and Detroit grabbed him. That would be a great first 2 picks for them in my opinion.

If Quinn lasts that long, we should move up to get him. His value doesn't warrant a third pick, but if we can get Quinn with a late first pick or early second pick, you NEED to make that move. You rarely get that great value.
