Official Cleveland Browns Draft Thread

I was thinking that too. However, saw this quote:

"If you are going to be in the top five, this is probably a pretty good year to be up there," Savage said.

Who the hell knows what Savage is thinking. I'd like to see them pull a move like they did when they traded down and still got Winslow who they wanted... not that I thought Winslow was a good pick.

Hahaha, they would of had DeAngelo Hall! He know is the best young CB in the league. They gave up a second round pick too.

I don't think we are trading down either. AD is a can't miss player and theres evidence that Phil wants to draft him (like saying Droughns will have a new role with the team).

The ONLY way I can see a trade down is if we get the 3rd pick and CJ is available. Then maybe a team (Vikings) will give us their 2nd and 3rd rounders. I would be in favor of that as we could still probably land Peterson.

AD will get hurt way to often in the NFL. He got hurt every season in college besides his freshman year. He can't take the hits and he doesn't try to avoid them like LT or Bush. Let somebody else make that mistake.

If Thomas isn't there they should trade down and get either Leon Hall MI or LaRon Landry LSU. Both are NFL caliber cornerbacks and would fit in great with Crennels D. If you trade down to the bottom then I would get Levi Brown OT from Penn. I realllllly like him and could be a steal. Plus if you trade down that far you would get a couple future draft picks.

This draft in no way is going to be there SB draft but can turn around the franchise.

THEE Leon Hall from MichiscUM? No. CB (if the Browns can stay healthy there) isn't even close to a need like OL & DL are. CB as a matter of fact isn't even a priority for the Browns right now and you want to waste the pick on Hall? I don't even want Landry. Too many other needs for sure.

Landry is a safety not a corner. If you want to draft corners you might want to get some d-line and linebackers that can put pressure on the quarterback first because that is one of best ways to make your secondary better.

That's just a sad comment. What the F*** does color have to do with it? Yeah look how well the Browns did passing on Donovan McNabb for Tim Couch. I believed at that time that's why they didn't draft him.

Wow you completely missed the context of that comment.....big time....

Try reading the quote that he was responding to, before getting all bent out of shape.

It will make your stay here much more enjoyable.

DB sorry. I agree with your saying also. BUT I see Landry being a big run stopper like Bob Sanders or a Troy Pal. Somebody that would put the fear in the eyes of a WR to go across the middle. Im just saying if you dropped to the 8 or 9th but the only team I see trading up is Minnesota early. The only other teams I see trading up is at the bottom of the 1st round.

Holy shit. Did I just read Leon Hall's name in this thread?

Yeah, it would be just our luck to take Leon Hall...

... then you just know the Ravens and Steelers would be chomping at the bits to pick up Jarrett or Ginn.

Shit, any team that's dumb enough to take Leon Hall is sending a message to their division rivals that they don't care about pass coverage.

I couldn't agree more. Hall is the most overrated player in this years draft, he's a 3rd round pick at best in my opinion. I have a cousin who's an NFL scout and he says that Hall is a weakside NFL corner, he'll never be a shut down type guy.
