Official BCS-CG Bulletin Board Thread

If you weren't watching the CBS tools between Army/Navy and the SECCG, they really had the Buckeye hate going on. Every 2 loss team is more deserving than OSU. If OU wins tonight I think Brando and Tillman will both have strokes.

Even more gasoline on the fire being added by these tools.

USC-UCLA announcers after fantasizing USC making the NC game:

guy 1) Do you think OSU and USC could be the best teams talent wise next year?

guy 2) Oh, a lot of people think OSU is overrated and dont deserve their poll position -mumbles- But maybe.

"Even if the Buckeyes use the back door to the Louisiana Superdome by finishing in the top two of the final BCS standings, they don't stand a chance against West Virginia."

Caller war on Rome right now. An apparent SEC fan (southern drawl) called in and said "the Buckeyes cannot beat the spread, WVU beat bowl eligible! Mississippi St and Cincinnnati in Cincy. Who did the Buckeyes beat--Wisconsin. Buckeyes, Florida, Texas and Illinois beat you, you cannot beat the spread. I think my call should be the "huge call" unless a Buckeye fan can call in an [refute] what I've said."

Rome: "I agree. Buckeyes can't beat the spread, WVU's fast, how would the Buckeyes handle White, Slaton and Devine. WVU put up 66 points against UConn..."

Buckeye caller: "It's not our fault everyone on our schedule sucked, we only stumbled once, it's true the Buckeyes have trouble against the spread, the Sweater Vest is gonna have to figure that out..." :mad2:

Rome: "That's a good call, and I guarantee you I'd get 20 consecutive calls from Buckeye fans saying the same exact thing. 'Not our fault our schedule sucked, we beat almost all comers',... But WVU has speed".

Schlabach has even been quoted on PTI as stating he would not watch the NC Game if it was WVU and tOSU. His reasoning..."WVU's speed is unmatched in the NCAA, I don't want to see Ohio State lose by 5 touchdowns".
Wow, I'm sure glad that we don't have to play Pitt in the title game - now that's some speeeeeeeeed!!!

Point #1 - THE Ohio State University won, what essentially was a conference playoff game against Michigan (at Michigan, I might add).

Point #2 - The way conference schedules are, very few teams play every team in their conference.

Point #3 - The Bucks finish their season earlier than others, because that's the way the conference schedule is. There was no bye week, as well.

Point #4 - "I'm not crazy about the way that Ohio State is getting to go to the title game....blah, blah, blah." "LSU has too much speed..." Sorry, Mark May, you get to spend the next 5 or so weeks ripping the Bucks, but Ohio State EARNED their way in. I'm really not quite sure of his agenda, other than to stir up crap, but his schtick is old.

Point #5 - I try not to swear on these boards, so, in a nice way, fornicate Mark May. In the famous words of Les Miles, have a nice day.

I think the only appropriate way to look at this is to say WVU heard that no one wanted to see them play OSU and did what they had to to make sure that game didn't happen.

Scout.com: What Two Teams Belong In The Championship?

Sorry Ohio State, I sort of like your team, but I just can't get the Illinois game out of my head, and at the end of the day, I just don't believe you beat anyone of note.

By the eyeball test, I'd have Oklahoma play LSU for the national championship, with Ohio State just barely missing the cut by an eyelash. If these two play to their full capabilities, I believe they're the two best teams in America. However, that's what I believe.

Last year. Heisman. Awards. The sun shines out of your every orifice Ohio State. Embarrassing bowl game.

2002. You don't deserve to be there. Your team is crap. You should be put on double special probation. Epic bowl victory.

Keep talking nonsense, Les Miles, Mark May, etc. Really. Our guys will do their talking on the field.

They are missing required equipment to have a stroke....that's why they are eminently employable by SECBS.....

Espn Radio's Gamenight host, Freddy Coleman, admitted OSU would be the #1 team tomorrow. Then he said Oklahoma, LSU, UGA, and yes even Va Tech would all beat OSU in the NC game. :tongue2: It is just entertainment disguised as analysis, I know, but these guys are dumb as paint.

Mel Kiper said that he was rooting for OSU to slide in as #1 or #2 because they "beat the system by playing a cupcake schedule." (He hates the BCS for lack of a playoff.) This is a person who said "The first real test for Ohio State will be at Purdue. Next big test will be at Penn State." After the Buckeyes beat PSU, he stopped saying the Buckeyes were in for a "test," and has basically referred to the schedule as a walk through the park.

To his credit, though, I don't think he is one of those who will predict defeat for OSU. He just complains about their schedule and hasn't given a Buckeye player his due, that I can remember, since he praised Brian Robiskie after the Northwestern game.

How in the hell should USC even be considered for the NCG? They have 2 wins vs Teams with a winning record... 2!!!

OSU is tied with 2nd among NCG teams with 5 wins vs teams with winning records... VA Tech had 6...
