like what though? swipe at his head and miss? he's a hockey player....he knew what was coming back at him. he was just hoping his teammates would've protected him better because all goalies are pussies who hide behind their teammates.

Ray Emery is a badass mo fo. He'd throwdown with anyone. You're right that most do hide behide their teammates in a scrum.

I only saw the slash once, but it looked like Osgood should ready his Oscar speech for that reaction.. I have a feeling a slapper to the chest hurts more than a stick.

Both deserved their fines.. both were wrong. One looked a lot more foolish in the process IMO.

So far as I'm aware Osgood has never backed down from a fight...it's just that the only person who has really ever tried to go at it with him was Patrick Roy (who, while classless, was a hell of a good fighter)...

Either way, look for this issue to be revisited about 30 times tonight in the Versus broadcast....

And if we are going to complain about goalies putting their sticks outside of the crease, look at what Turco was doing all night long (and he was called for the slash to Holmstrom's leg, but they missed the cross check to Holmstrom and the trip on Filipula)....

3 things...

1. I've heard a rumor that the league had a chat with both teams yesterday about things happening after the whistle/after the game and that any more BS would not be tolerated.

2. The ice in Dallas is TERRIBLE tonight. Guys are falling all over the place.

3. Steve Ott has the worst aim ever.

That is all.

1, We'll see, I suppose... it's getting pretty chippy out there.
2. Agreed. It's the worst I've seen in awhile.
3. so true.

So far so good... if the score holds, Detroit should be up 3-0 for the series.

1-dunnot but usually when you expect it, it doesnt happen. reality is both teams know both guys threw cheap shoots. write it down it will be settled at some point...
2-bad ice in dallas? the ice sucks there in jan, this time of the years its not ice, its slush...
3-ever seen ron hainsey shoot? hainsey thinks you get 1 point for the dasher, 2 for the boards, 3 for glass 4 for the net...
