Doug is a good player, and does have the versatility that Olaf talks about, but there is a guy like Satelle and a couple others that would be rated above him...

I thought about Setele. I thought even more about Iowa's Marshall Yanda. But when it came down to it, I'm all about "reaching" in the third round, and I wanted Datish.

Tampa Bays selects:

Antonio Pittman, RB, Ohio State

Simply going with the BPA. I thought Cleveland was going to snag him with the last pick and was happy to see he was still available this morning.

datish is a terrible pick, he isn't even that good

I'd hardly call that a terrible pick. Sure Satele may be the better center, but Datish has versatility, and the NFL loves that. He finishes plays, the NFL loves that. I don't draft with scarlett glasses on but a third rounder for DD is not outrageous. You act like he's a turd. He'll be a fine pro. It may take a couple of years, but he'll be fine.

If i'm in that spot, I'm taking Satele, but that's not a knock on DD.

The Arizona Cardinals select Robert Meachum WR Tennessee... I know I know, is this a second coming of the Detroit Lions? Fitzgerald is a free agent next year and I was shocked to see Meachum still on the board. Beyond Johnson, Boldin and Fitzgerald the Cardinals aren't very deep. Meachum is 6 3" with 4.39 speed... as well a first team all-american. The Cards picked up secondary help with Terrance Holt and Roderick Hood... and O-Line help with Al Johnson and possibly Mike Gandy. There were a few good defensive players out there and OT... but no player has nearly the potential as Meachum.

Holy Blindness that's twice now (must sleep more).... Ok switch that to Brandon Siler LB Florida.... We need to build more of a run stuffing middle... Siller can complement Gerald Hayes well. I previously discussed the additions the Cardinals already made in the secondary and o-line. Even as nice as Meachum would have been.... the Cardinals are happy with Siler.
