Nice picks by both stx and cbf40. Alama-Francis was a volleyball/basketball player in high school, and then walked on to the UH basketball team. Always has had the nice height, and has put on some good weight. Still a little raw, technique wise, but he has really worked himself into a potential early contributor for someone. The 49ers already have several Warriors on the roster in Ulbrich (LB) and Sopoaga (DL). In fact, they may have signed Lelie (WR) in free agency, can't remember. Satele is a tough guy. Has played some guard, a real scrapper on the inside. Should be able to help someone along their front. Another potential Warrior sleeper is Melila Purcell, who started at the DE opposite of Alama-Francis. A little light at 265, but he's 6'5", and has had some injury problems. But, he has done a nice job over the years as a pass rusher. There are those who feel that, when healthy, Purcell is every bit the prospect that Alama-Francis is.

That is a great pick, for what little it's worth I've seen him rated above several of the DEs already taken. This year's DE class is so rich, there are players still on the board who have a real chance to start as rookies. In almost any other year this guys would be gone midway through the 2nd..
