Official 2007 Mock Draft Thread

With the 27th selection of the 2nd round the New York Jets select...

Rutgers H-Back Brian Leonard

With FB Askew gone to TB, we could not pass on the versatility of Leonard. His athleticism paired with excellent hands and route running will add a dangerous weapon to NYJ's offense.

Needs at CB (Revis) & RB (Jones) have been addressed, and no DTs were worth this pick.

With the 28th pick of the Secound Round, the Miami Dolphins select.......Eric Wright, CB UNLV. Still not seeing an offensive lineman that would be a good value at the end of the 2nd round, Miami again shifts gears and goes for the best player available at another need position. While Wright isn't the biggest CB available and has had some off the field problems, Miami felt the need to get an athletically gifted CB that has the speed to hang with the fastest receivers in the league...

Marty sees a gleam... and that gleam is the 2nd round pick of the San Diego Chargers...

San Diego selects Jason Hill, WR out of Washington State.

Hill is too much of a talent to pass on. His 4.3 speed should be able to spread the field so Gates and LDT will have more room.

Sorry I missed my pick, busy weekend.

If at all possible, could I switch Philly's second round pick from Stewart Bradley to Rufus Alexander?

Since Alexander hasn't been taken, or any other LB, i'm thinking no one would object to this.

Good picks... NYJ was considering Wright & Hill strongly for their next pick.

Out of curiosity, would any of you have snagged Leonard?

I was thinking about it until the Dolphins picked up Cory Schlesinger in free agency. Not that Schlesinger has much left in the tank, but he would have made Leonard more of a luxury pick instead of a need pick and since the Dolphins have plenty of needs, I probably would have passed...

My feeling is no retroactive picks. You snooze, you lose.
