Zona's first selection was Chris Houston....but since that's such a quality pick at that slot (I project him to go somewhere like 18th overall) I'll reward him with another pick.

oops, my bad. ... Rod Graves put down that bottle!

OK Arizona Cardinals select Zach Miller TE Arizona State. AZ still has needs of the O-Line(tackle) and could use another corner, but we don't see a big drop off of talent available in the 3rd round. We'll go ahead and keep Miller in Phoenix. He'll be another target for Matt Leinhart and is a decent blocker. The next great ASU TE?

Another solid pick for the Cards...

With Adams and Miller they seem to have two sure fire picks...

The lose of Davis in FAgency hurts them, and an OT might of helped as you said, but it would be hard to pass up Miller as a weapon for Leinhart...

thats a terrible pick for the cardinals

they took leonard pope last year, and their offensive line is still a train wreck.

Yeah b/c they don't have draft picks later in the draft to pick up o-lineman...:roll1:

He is a first round talent and can stretch the field and considering that Pope only had 16 catches I would hardly call him a shoe in for the position...

It is called taking the BPA...

Miller is just too special of a player to pass on. He is definetly first round talent. Pope didn't do sh*t last year... and was a project pick. We need a TE that can block and draw attention to the middle of the field. I've been paying attention to Zach since HS.... he's the kind of player you want, good student, good work ethic and a great talent. An OT would have been smart...but Aaron Sears was the best available OL at this point, and he's projected as a guard....so, we can wait till 3rd round to look into lineman. BPA and a position the Cardinals are not strong at.

ok first off, tell me some linemen they take in later rounds, none of them are going to be guys that are any better than the scrubs they have there already.

so a team with 3 great WRs needs another TE?

they have a glaring needs a S (griffith is ancient) and I dont like green at CB

The draft is pretty deep in lineman...You still have Sears, Free, Harris, Satele, Datish, Beekman, Ramirez, and the list goes on. You see lineman go in the later rounds every year that end up being some of your better lineman and quite often the guys that go early tend to be bust more often than not.

Doesnt that just make them that much more dangerous. He also said that he is a good blocker, which could also help in pass protection and being able to keep more guys in to get the ball to those receivers.

S is also deep, as you don't always see a lot of guys go early besides talents like Landry and Nelson.

You still have have some decent names on the board. He also said that there were needs at these positions, but he couldnt pass Miller up. Also take into account there is still time in FAgency to fill in the needs b4 the draft...
