Official 2007 Mock Draft Thread

I nominate Aaron Sears OT/OG Tennessee...

Sears is a good pick if we're going OL. But he did draft Brown in the 1st too. I see CB, LB, WR, and QB as needs too...
I'm going to nominate Stanton. I think he really is late-1st round talent and they need somebody to push or replace Carr.

Nominate him for what? Next pick?

 Yep I meant for the next pick...

As far as Houston taking another o-lineman in every mock I have saw they have them taking an o-lineman in the second round and with Brown in the first and a versitale lineman like Sears in the first that played every position along the line other than C in college that will start to build them protection for Carr...And their playoff caliber team. :tongue2:

The draft is pretty deep in lineman...You still have Sears, Free, Harris, Satele, Datish, Beekman, Ramirez, and the list goes on. You see lineman go in the later rounds every year that end up being some of your better lineman and quite often the guys that go early tend to be bust more often than not.

you think adding one of those guys will fix their offensive line?

none of those guys are anything special, (i watched them in mobile), and they'd probably end up with one of them tops.

Doesnt that just make them that much more dangerous. He also said that he is a good blocker, which could also help in pass protection and being able to keep more guys in to get the ball to those receivers.

why run sets with 4 receivers when you can run sets with 5!!
You still have have some decent names on the board. He also said that there were needs at these positions, but he couldnt pass Miller up. Also take into account there is still time in FAgency to fill in the needs b4 the draft...

name me some good free agents they could sign.

O-lineman arent the guys that are going to impress you with combine #'s besides maybe the top guys...Also they need to get in a system and play with the guys next to them to really find their true worth.

There are always guys that get cut after the draft that could be available, but Deon Grant is out there as a S. You can't always be great at every position and the Cardinals have more holes than they can fill in just one off season. That is why they went with taking the BPA...
