The Lions select center Ryan Kalil, University of Southern California.
Surprising to see two offensive line players pulled in back-to-back rounds by the Lions.
Would have thought that QB or CB would be next on the list, especially after the Lions dropped Dre' Bly and landing DE DeWayne White from the FA market.

With the fourth pick of the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select...

Joe Staley, OT, Central Michigan

The combination of Joe Staley and Eric Steinbach will solidify the left side of the offensive line for years to come. If LeCharles Bentley ever comes back (stop laughing, damn it), then that makes for a solid nucleus of an offensive line.

Here is a question... shouldn't Chicago be on the clock since they did trade Thomas Jones there before we even got to the 2nd round?

Not to steal BN27's thunder here, but when this happened last year both parties had to agree. Right now I don't think Buckeye247 is going to show up though... I'd suggest you PM him about/proposing the trade to reflect reality. If he doesn't answer and doesn't show up for his pick -- can we vote for the trade to occur ??
