Official 2006 BP Mock Draft Thread

Damn. Oakland takes another one in the ass...

I can't ignore Jonathan Joseph, CB, USCar still sitting on the board. Despite the huge needs at other positions, I have to grab him here. I also have to move Huff to Safety, even though he wants to play CB. 4.31 timed 40, huge potential......maybe I shouldn't knock Al Davis for all the stupid fast conerback moves he makes :smash:

Now THATS a record. 4 picks in 1 second. Let's recap.

Baltimore left me a list, and Pope was there right after Kiwi.
Philly left me a list that said take the best available ____ or ____. I chose the first ____ which was OLB...mainly because the DTs that are left aren't 2nd round material.
St. Louis gets a steal here with Jason Allen, who was at the top of his list.

Atlanta is finally on the clock.

With the 15th pick in round 2 the Falcons choose Richard Marshall CB/S from Fresno St.

He is a physical Corner with good size and speed. He has the ability to play opposite Hall and also has the ability to play safety if they need him there.

BB73's time is up.....let the voting begin.

Minnesota Team neads from nfldraftcountdown.com...

2) Linebacker
Dontarrious Thomas and E.J. Henderson can't both start.

2) Offensive Guard
Steve Hutchinson fills one spot, now just one left to go.

3) Cornerback
There is nothing behind Antoine Winfield and Fred Smoot.

Dang, this has to be a record for how fast we are going. Last year we were barely out of round one eh?

For the record I say we give BB a few more hours. He has a comeback pick a few picks later and he normally comes in around 10-11AM.

Plus I need time to figure out what happened over the weekend so I can be ready for my pick

With the 16th pick in the second round, The Vikings select:

Taitusi "Deuce" Lutui, Offensive Guard USC.

A real meat grinder will be just what the OL needs.

Sorry for the delay yesterday - didn't expect the four picks in 1 second. Davin Joseph was the choice if Lutui was gone.

With the 54th pick in the 2006 BP NFL Mock Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select:

TE Anthony Fasano, Notre Dame.

Good size, excellent hands, excellent blocker, smart, hard-working, physical. Definite upgrade from Dan Campbell.

Are the Cowboys looking at Jason Witten as more of a wide receiver at this point or is this for a two-TE type look?

Marty sees a gleem... a man that LdT would love to see in front of him.

Davin Joseph, OG, Oklahoma

We debated on moving up to grab Jason Allen. He was in consideration for our 1st rounder and seeing him fall to #46 was surprising and very tempting. Even though we picked a DB with our first pick he would have been best player available on our board and a no brainer if he was still available.

This decision would have been much tougher if Taitusi Lutui would have been here too as both are equal on our board and thankfully Marty didn't have to make that choice but we are very happy to bring in Davin to help open up holes for LdT and to keep Philip Rivers upright.

On a side note Marty is having a good laugh at the expense of his former team the Cleveland Browns. Seems like Phil Savage is not in control as it has been a horrible draft for them. Marty still loves the Browns and wishes them well but he wonders if Dwight Clark has snuck into the Browns warroom and is making decisions again.

No offense to 513 but there is absolutely zero chance of that pick happening

if they go with a defensive back, as 513 did, then they will be looking at offensive line with this pick, be it a gaurd or tackle. Dallas has one of/if not the worst line in the league and will adress it in the draft.

and no katt, Witten is a TE...Cambell was their blocking TE that was in the game to help their young tackles but they let him go
