Oden vs. Harangody (Split from Oden thread)

So I'd say it's pretty safe to assume that IF Oden were to stay 3-4 years, he would destroy Harangody's production in every category as well as contribute to a very likely (multiple time) OSU final four squad as opposed to the Domers and Luke's influence which might take them to one sweet 16 in the next 4 seasons. Bit of a run-on, but I said what I needed to.

Yeah you may have a point, but you will never know...

FWIW- ND beat (at the time) #4 Maryland earlier this year.

In the end Luke will end up contributing much more for ND than Oden will be for OSU. More points, rebounds and yes even blocks...

I have watched Oden play and yes he is a great player but chances are he will be a one year and gone player. Having said that I would rather have Luke on my team.

Huh? Is this for real?

Someone tell me this is a joke because I'm confused as to why this comparison is taking place.

I mean, if Luke is so damn good, why is Notre Dame playing him less than 20 minutes a game? And more to the point of what you're trying to say... why do you assume that the "Great" Luke Harangody is going to stay more than a year? Clearly, he's a comparable player to Greg Oden.

you're likely correct that we'll never know... but getting the #1 7-footer in 07 and 08 will make oden's departure a bit less painful.

Recap:

- Ohio High School football is better than Indiana High School football.
- Notre Dame's entrance requirements are not as stringent as they would like people to believe.
- Brady Quinn gets happy feet when pressured.
- Charlie Weis is a big fat guy, I mean like orca fat, and he's not a genius.
- Luke Harangody is not as good as Greg Oden.

Is that everything?

The point, Chief, is that ND haven't faced a real top 5 team, so it's a bit hard to compare the scoring averages between the two players. Geez, playing one-handed Oden is better. Maryland? You mean lost to ND, BC, and Miami :slappy: Maryland? #22 in the Coaches Poll and unranked in the AP poll Maryland? That Maryland?

So, Harangody with two hands and playing against that opposition compares to Oden coming back from injury and facing top 5 teams??? I guess we'll disagree on that one.

Do NA fans have that phrase tattooed on their bodies?
