Haha and that’s another thing.

Just operate the fucking offense regardless. Maybe it would’ve been nice to have Brown/Lincoln with 100 throws going into the game???

well he better learn that lesson for his players too then.

Sometimes you play a kid that’s good at 1 thing but still needs work. The fact Harrison/Egbuka couldn’t get real reps until Olave and Wilson opted out is seriously criminal.

Imagine late in 2019 if we could’ve thrown out Olave, Wilson, Harrison, JSN and Egbuka? But nope didn’t “trust” them.

I think for this reason, Hartline also needs to be looked at and have a talking to as much as the rest of the guys. I don't see paying and giving an OC title to someone who's nothing more than a position coach. And the fact that we're all talking about bringing in another OC to call the plays, then I wonder, what does Hartline do besides recruit? Because only playing 3-4 WRs a year is just baffling. And if he tries that for another year, I can see Graham also leaving for the Portal after his 1st year as well. Don't let Graham be treated like Rogers/Rodgers or we'll be seeing him lineup for ND in '25... OSU can and should be playing up to 6-7 guys

Buckle up because we’ll probably lose 2024 kids not named Smith as well. We won’t play kids or rotate so this will continue.

Btw since Hartline has been here? Out of 21 WR recruits only 10 haven’t transferred or changed positions.

As you say, if he’s the OC then give him the freaking duties already or just make him a really well paid position coach and get a for real one. If that pisses Hartline off? Then move on…

Do what’s best for the program not out of fear for losing a coach that retains less than 50% of his recruits.

Retention should not be a major goal for Hartline. Why do we care about retaining the 6th (at best) receiver?
Recruit the best prospects; field the best unit.

I do agree that, if he’s a coordinator, he needs to coordinate.
We have a brain drain on the offensive side of the ball with the loss of Wilson.

No one is sleeping on him. But by Hartline’s track record, how won’t play until year 2 or 3, in this climate he’d be gone after his frosh year if he gets little to no PT. And I wouldn’t blame him
And McLaurin was in a different time. We have to stop comparing players staying that are past the last 2yrs. McLaurin bolts by year 3 if he didn’t play. Why miss out on NIL starting salary money? Makes no sense

I'd love to see an eight receiver rotation and run every defense out of the building, BUT Hartline has said and shown that if you're not ready to be what he considers a tOSU receiver, you will not play. Tate has shown, though, that if you are, you will.

Yeah, I think there’s some of each, but I think from the results we’ve seen, not every 4 or even 5-star high schooler isn’t able or willing to make the jump that he requires. He brings in guys he thinks may have a chance, but they’re not all, obviously, going to get there. I’m ok with that, but I would prefer that we bring in a few more lineman.
