Which Buckeye had the greatest impact on the Ohio State history of the position he played?

He was drafted in the 4th round, crazy he’s not on the list or Michael Thomas who went in the 2nd, Paris Campbell(3rd) or Terry McLaurin(3rd)
Cris Carter was declared ineligible for his last season as a Buckeye after the draft had already taken place in 1987 (pretty sure that was the year)

IIRC this event was the pebble in what became an avalanche of discussions that resulted in Juniors being eligible for the draft by about 1990

The point here though is that the April draft had already happened and Cris was declared ineligible for college ball. Rather than sit out the year entirely, he “declared himself eligible” for the supplemental draft, even though there was no process for that at the time. There was a lot of talk at the time about what round someone would risk taking him in, and that he would not go nearly as high as he would in a regular draft
