OSU offensive coordinator hospitalized after crash​


COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Ohio State University offensive coordinator Brian Hartline is hospitalized following a crash early Sunday morning.

Hartline, 36, is being treated at Riverside Methodist Hospital, a hospital spokesperson said. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.


A Delaware County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson confirmed the crash happened at approximately 1:20 a.m. Sunday on Hartline’s property near Powell. The spokesperson also confirmed Hartline was the driver of the UTV side-by-side involved in the crash.

Wrecking a side by side, that likely has a roll cage and still ending up in the hospital isn't something easy to do. Especially when you consider that it's your property which you should intimately know from riding on. And at 1:30am you're either shooting coyote or hammered drunk. Maybe both.

Glad he’s ok, but come on. Own property, having a couple of beers and rolled his UTV and people are acting like this is something more than it needs to be. I’d say that at least half the times I’ve been on quads involved a few beers… and more often than not, firearms too. Private property on his own time? None of our business beyond that he’s OK.
