OBSERVATIONS FROM THE POOP DECK

First post!

Nice observations. Just one I would add.

Offense at this time does not have a "go to" play (using a basketball analogy). A play they have confidence in when things are not going well and they need to pick up some yardage. Last two years it was Beanie between the left tackle / guard. Beanie would read the situation and go for the hole or cut one way or the other if the hole was not there. They were good at that play and used it when they needed it.

The best play I saw (other than the tight end eligible) was a sweep to the open side of the field. Both Boom and Zoom are fast enough to get to the corner quickly and strong enough to go inside if a hole opens. Until we come up with a bread and butter play that we have confidence in, we are going to see less 3rd down converstions and more FG attempts than TD's.

Just my thoughts.

Regretfully, can't use it

Hi
I'm one of the content providers for the Ohio State Alumni Club of San Antonio and I scan the internet daily for information that would be of interest to our members and subsequently post links to these stories.

I was both impressed and disappointed by the lead blog today -- pleased because of the effort and insight into the analysis of Buckeye football, but disappointed because I am cannot in conscience post a link to it because of what was just a smattering of offensive matter. What a shame that we could not share the information with our members. But we try to be self-policing as we hope you are as well.

Linking to other people's posts comprises journalism these days, eh? Good stuff...

I don't think he was being critical. Just simultaneously appreciative of Oh8ch's post, and disappointed that the moldy nut and anal sex references aren't the type of thing he feels comfortable linking out to his alumni association. No harm or foul there.

The thing is, the C Deck (or Poop Deck) just wouldn't be the same without it. BP was meant to be one flavor for a select group of fans anyway, not really a product for mass consumption.

I'm just elated that the Deck postings are back again this season.

Perhaps one of the fine technology wizards here could recommend a text editor that Mr. Frush might find useful. I understand they now put a key on some computers that allows one to "delete" both individual letters and entire words.

I'll defer to your (sober) judgement, boss. Just came off as pompous and self righteous to me.

Agreed about being thrilled Oh8ch could get his head out of his ass long enough to post these again.

But the bit about switching to sausage because tonguing a taco can be messy is completely appropriate for alumni associations, FWIW.

:p

It's understandable if something here isn't appropriate for all audiences. But it works for BP, and that's plenty. And really, who doesn't enjoy hearing about hot Italian sausage, really?

I suspect Oh8ch might give an okay to excerpting without some of the, uh, more personal revelations, though.

Are the sausage dudes cute? :p

Is German Village still a good place to get sausage? A little Shakespear in the park followed by being stuffed with a Bohama Momma? Or would I be better off cruising around the North Market area? It's been a while since I have been back.

Enjoying my tacos in Arizona...

Oh and by the way- don't sell out to corperate alumni club pressure and clean this bit up. The product placement just isn't work it.

Glad to see you're still a Buckeye fan. Don't worry. Google will help your alumni find BuckeyePlanet.
