Ntre Ame 28, Stanford 21 (Final)

Well as long as ND schedules what is/will be the last place team in every conference (Purdue, SDSU, Stanford...) they should be fine.

Oh, and CHIEF, by any measure, Dave Casper was the best TE Notre Dame ever had. This guy they have now might run a faster 40, but no one beat the Ghost's football speed.

Casper was a great player but Kyle Rudolph is faster no matter how you put it.

Which useful defense has his speed been measured against? Michigan State is probably the best of the worst.

I like Kyle quite a bit, and he looks extremely promising, but it's very premature to be exalting to that kind of pedestal.

A little late to the party but while Casper was a great TE, I think that distinction would have to go to Leon Hart.

I always considered them different positions (the olden end was a hybrid TE/WR to me) but if you consider end a TE then yes.

So, they've barely beaten S.D. State, beat a woeful scUM, were beaten handly by MSU, beat a below average Purdue and barely beat a bad Stanford team and are now back and dangerous? :so:

True, but you can see the improvement and they did let off the gas against Stanford when they were up by 21. They need to learn to finish.

I will definately conceed that ND has improved. But with their schedule, it's very hard to really gage how good they are.
