Yeah, I'm not even confidant Notre Dame is a top 25 team. They're got a few votes this week, but probably from homer voters. As far as the turnovers, this has partially been due to the teams Notre Dame has played, and partially the play of the defense. David Bruton has forced some nice fumbles in goal line situations, taking possible points off the board. They've put some good pressure on QBs forcing a few interceptions in games. Some of their destiny they're making as this is an improved team, but they've been fortunate with an easy schedule thusfar.
North Carolina should be a close game, favoring the Tar Heels possibly with home field advantage. I don't think the Irish have handled the away game scenario well, as Michigan State has shown. Then again, I picked Sparty to win regardless as Sparty plays well against the Irish anywhere normally.
Stanford took ND to the wire, this was poor coaching all the way. They shouldn't have gone so conservative at the half. For most of the 3rd and 4th quarters they took it easy on both offense and defense. They had opportunities to score, but instead took the easy completions and tried to control the clock instead, whcih almost bit them in the butt.
