I am sure a lot of teams are looking to this game to see if PSU is for real or not. Honestly I don't even know why people are complaining about them being ranked 3, if anything if we win and win nicely it makes us look really good, IMHO.....then again, it could just be another pretender in the BIG SLOW Big10....:!

if the 'crowd interaction' folk want to redeem themselves for their crimes against humanity this season (in the shoe), they'll have a moment of silence for 'the rail' late in the 4th quarter.billmac91;1298911; said:So, if we beat PSU, are we going to memorialize it with "the rail"?

Understood; however, we're not talking about hypotheticals. The fact of that matter is that we have played the exact same opponent, and they fared much better. Does that mean anything with regard to how we'll do? No. Yet, it does lend credence to PSU being a sound team. It's going to be a hard fought game. I feel confident in the Bucks for four main reasons:
1) It's at the 'Shoe, and PSU doesn't do as well away as at home.
2) Beanie is the best back in the country
3) The Bucks performed wonderfully at Michigan State. I feel good about their turn of direction.
4) Jim Tressel. This man gets it done in conference play.
Yet, this does not detract from PSU being a very worthy adversary. I'm just attempting to temper your unsubstantiated criticism of them. They've done all that could be asked of them this year thus far.

They saw the big ten go bye bye with our win and possibly a bowl game by quitting these past 2 weeks. Iowa spanked them too. The are done period. And name me a top ranked defense that State Penn has played against(oreg st?). This game doesnt come down to anything less than our d -line stepping it up again and getting pressure all the way around. If that happens it could end up being the MSU game all over again.

That said, Ohio State is the toughest challenge that they will have faced, especially on defense. Their SOS ranking (#82, Sagarin) indicates a much weaker SOS than Ohio State (#33). They were tested by Purdue, as we were. TSUN gave them fits last week early in the game.
This is not going to be a laugher for Ohio State this week, but given venue, our defense, better line play, Pryor's growing skills, and the resurgence of Wells, Penn State will find Ohio State to be a step too far.
One wonders, if Ohio State wins by 14 or more, will this be the last run for JoePa.

Valid points....both are different kind of backs...
I wouldn't trade Royster for anyone at this point.
