As an FSU alum it def has Willie Taggert vibes when he came in from Oregon and tried to lay the law down and work the hell out of the kids to set a new tone.
It blew up in his face.
That said, it could be that Marcus is laying a foundation and calling out a select few guys who aren’t in shape. Could obviously turn a mountain out of a molehill here…
But I def hope it ends up like Willie Taggert….

You want Freeman to fail? I sure as hell do not (excepting Week 1 results), he is a distinguished Buckeye alum and seems to be turning into a damn good coach that frankly I would love to have on our staff if the timing would have worked out. Only reason I would want Freeman to trip up is for the selfish reason of reuniting him to our Buckeyes. With that being said, I want to punt the Domers into eternity in the opener, then see ND win out. I don't think that is incredibly likely (if we beat them badly it likely means they are overrated as others brought up), but a fella can wish right?

Yep. Not only does Notre Dame suck no matter who their coach is, but Freeman has gone out of his way (completely unnecessarily) to take swipes at Ohio State in some pathetic attempt to ingratiate himself in South Bend. There will be other Ohio State alumni coaches that I can root for, but Freeman won't be one of them.

Exactly.
Even if he had said the right things about his Buckeye experiences, which wouldn’t have been too difficult, I’d still want Freeman’s Domers to lose to almost anybody they play. They are a significant competitor to tOSU in recruiting, even more so when they are a legitimate top-10 team.
Plus, their administration and fan base are largely comprised of self-righteous, sanctimonious pricks. So fuck ‘em.

Well I guess I have lived under a rock on the bolded, I didn't know he said anything negative about OSU. Might have to do some research on that one and find my way out from under the rock, but did he get caught on tape or something saying bad things about OSU? I always want OSU alums (those who stuck with us anyways) to succeed wherever they go, but if they are trashing our school then that would make it much different.
