Notre Dame (football only discussion)

So ... so... we only got these coaches from Ntre ame because Kelly was going to fire them?

This Meyer guy sucks.

Chuck Martin, the safeties coach and recruiting coordinator for Kelly last season, has switched sides and will be the offensive coordinator next season.
Tony Alford takes over the running backs position after coaching wide receivers for the past two seasons under Kelly. Alford will also coach the slot wide receivers and has become the staff's recruiting coordinator.

Scott Booker, a former intern, will coach the tight ends and be the team's special teams coordinator. Last season's tight end coach, Mike Denbrock, moves over to coach the outside wide receivers.

All the team needed was for every coach on the staff to start coaching a different position this coming year and to bring on an intern into the fold. Clearly, this is a big time upgrade from last year's staff.

Looking at Notre Dame's 2013 recruiting class so far, they have received commitments from players from the following states: Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Illinois, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Ohio.

Boy, they sure are hitting the midwest hard for a "national" school.

Perhaps they have finally accepted their role as a regional power? There is no way the fan base has, but if the coaching staff has adjusted their recruiting strategy it seems to be paying dividends so far.
