I watched the whole game, and I am still not sold on ND. I think it was more of the media Oklahomo bias than anything.

I can definitely understand this mindset, we've been hearing it all year. After every win the Irish have heard how their opponent blew the game, or their opponent is down this year, or the Irish have been noticeably mediocre on offense. All these points are valid, but it's still been a tough schedule up to this point I think, and this makes the 4th ranked team the Irish have beaten. I know they were tied going into this game with 3 ranked teams downed, not sure if they're still tied or ahead of anyone at this point. Just glad we have some easier games coming up going into USC.

Agree with Dryden - ND is for real.

However, if ND, Bama, and Oregon all end the season undefeated, then I believe that ND gets left out of the BCS title game.

I don't see how ND doesn't get the #2 ranking over Oregon in the human polls...I'm not sure how the computer will work or the latest permutations about what % of what goes where, but I think that will be hard for Oregon to overcome. Will be close though, still lots of games left.

I am sold on ND as a top-3 team, especially in a year sorely lacking in truly elite ballclubs. I'm not sure if they'll stay ahead of Oregon with how the media overvalues offense (ie Clemson & FSU every year).

I think ND or KSU have a better chance to beat Bama than Oregon.

I have to agree. Last time Oregon faced an SEC team in the big game their offense wasn't putting out 40+ points, although Oregon's defense may be better now than they were then. It'll be interesting to see how November shakes out with Oregon's schedule finally getting tough. If they make it through undefeated theres going to be a lot of teams wishing that playoff was in effect this year. Kansas State and Notre Dame have done well to shut down a few good offenses. K State is probably better on offense between both teams, Irish are probably better on defense. You have to like how the Wildcats have performed this year.

I'm drunk and Notre Dame won the game easily.

I don't know what happened but it must of been a hell of an effort by the ND defense....

Irish gave up 364 yards passing, but it was pretty much all quick passes that the Irish gave them in zone defense. I think they had one big play out of that. For the most part the Irish just kept everything in front of them, played "bend don't break" and kept them out of the endzone a lot. They took away the run, holding Oklahoma to 15 yards rushing. On the other side the Irish outgained them 215 yards rushing and 188 yards passing.

Damn! It sounds like ND actually came out with a game plan and executed... I'm impressed!

Yeah, they don't execute well often, and gameplan has been absent for some time. A lot of credit goes to defensive coordinator Bob Diaco getting this defense prepared. Redshirt freshman Golson executed very well at QB as well. Didn't try to do too much, just managed a good game to come away with the win.

I think the difference between this year's ND team and the failures of the past 20 years is that they're tough and play fundamentally sound football. They aren't beating themselves like teams of the past and not rolling over when punched in the mouth. Could Kelly Be the real deal? Also, could you picture the brothers matching up in the BCS NC game?
