NoSuch Dame LB Manti "Snugglebunny" Te'o (official imaginary thread)

Brian Kelly defends Manit Te'o

http://espn.go.com/college-football...elly-discusses-hoax-involving-star-linebacker

"I think Manti will be remembered as a great leader of our football team, on an undefeated team at Notre Dame," Kelly said. "He showed the way for how to be a great teammate: his work ethic, his commitment, all those things. And for me, he'll be, in my eyes, one of the very great teammates that I've ever had in 22 years of coaching. He just, he was special to coach. And he did all the things that I think great players have to do on a day-to-day basis. And we're going to continue to hold him in that type of esteem."

Apparently that loss in the BCS title game was a hoax as well since according to Kelly they finished undefeated.

Manti works for me:

I'm taking attendance this AM and I call a name, no answer. I look at my record and note, "Hmmmm, that's four absences in three weeks (five classes)..." and then I can't help myself, "Maybe she's Manti's girlfriend."

Got a good laugh, not easy to do in an 8 o'clock.

Katie Couric with a 'Gotcha' Question...

So many questions and theories surround the Manti Te'o story.

Some have theorized that Te'o might be gay, and that he faked a relationship with an online girlfriend to cover-up his sexual orientation. This week, Katie Couric asked him point blank, "Are you gay?"

"No. Far from it. FAR from it," said Te'o, smiling. But that hasn't put a stop to the questions.

The Notre Dame football star is sticking to his story that he was a victim, not the perpetrator of an embarrassing hoax. Te'o said he believed he was having an online relationship with a woman, only to find out his Internet girlfriend, Lennay Kekua -- who supposedly died of leukemia in 2012 -- never really existed. He's acknowledged that he did lie to his family about having met Kekua in person, and that he lied to the media even after he learned that she didn't exist.

Conflicting details continue to emerge about who provided the voice for Kekua during phone calls between she and Te'o, and about the involvement of Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, the man who's said to have masterminded the hoax

Like I said...

Roniah was in love with Manti?

Well, of course he was. That had to be the logical next step in this comedy.

After his lengthy interview with the mastermind of the fake girlfriend hoax against Manti Te'o, Dr. Phil McGraw believes Ronaiah Tuiasosopo genuinely fell in love with the Notre Dame star linebacker during the course of the two-year deception.

?Here we have a young man that fell deeply, romantically in love,?" McGraw told NBC?s Mike Taibbi in a segment that aired on TODAY Wednesday. "I asked him straight up, "Was this a romantic relationship with you?" And he says yes. I said, "Are you then therefore gay?" And he said, "When you put it that way, yes." And then he caught himself and said, "I am confused.?""

Well, if he wasn't homosexual before, he is now.

Cause Dr. Phil says so.

If Dr. Phil says you're Gay, that means you're Gay.

In an interview with Dr. Phil McGraw that will air Thursday, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo says the voice of Manti Te'o's "girlfriend," Lennay Kekua, was his and that the star Notre Dame linebacker had no role in the hoax.

The first of a McGraw's two-part interview with Tuiasosopo will air Thursday on the "Dr. Phil" show. McGraw appeared Wednesday morning on NBC's "Today" show, which aired two clips of the Tuiasosopo interview.

"There were many times when Manti and Lennay have broken up," Tuiasosopo said, "but something would bring them back together, whether it was something going on in his life or Lennay's life or in this case my life."

McGraw said Tuiasosopo told him he fell deeply in love with Te'o and that for Tuiasosopo it was a romantic relationship.

"Here we have a young man that fell deeply, romantically in love," McGraw told NBC. "I asked him straight up, 'Was this a romantic relationship with you?' And he says yes. I said, 'Are you then therefore gay?' And he said, 'When you put it that way, yes.' And then he caught himself and said 'I am confused.' "

Me and Dave have had it right for quite some time.....

I too am "confused".

Just how does a 20-something college athlete demonstrate that he is "far from" being gay? Seems to me that a true hetero of his demographic - one who is "far from" anything less than being hetero - is an active hetero.

Was he the normal BMOC who chose a different companion whenever the mood struck? But that would mean he was cheating on his imaginary gf. That he was violating his Mormon principles. Katie missed a chance by not asking him to clarify what he meant by "far from" (unless she was afraid of hearing about his relationship with his athletic socks).

(I think I just realized how tube socks got their name.)

At this point, I think Te'o should just come out and say what we all already have theorized to be true. Just come out and say you were having a relationship with a dude. The more lies you tell, the more people are going to dig, until they find out what is true.

Let's look at the FACTS:
- LIED about having a girlfriend.
- LIED about having a sick girlfriend
- LIED about having a sick girlfriend who died
- LIED to the entire country about said sick girlfriend who died
- LIED and tried to cover up the fact that he told the entire country about said sick girlfriend who died

We've all seen the EVIDENTS.

At this point, what could the guy lose? Other than millions of dollars, but if the NFL didn't draft the guy, who would be in the worse position, them or him?

EDIT - Well.....maybe I misspoke about the NFL....

Ooops...

NEW ORLEANS ? Cornerback Chris Culliver faced reporters along with the rest of his San Francisco 49ers teammates promptly at 8:15 a.m. CT on Thursday, the morning after his homophobic comments went viral.

Culliver, 24, was contrite and embarrassed for telling shock jock Artie Lange at media day Tuesday that he wouldn't accept a gay man on his football team. Culliver said his comments didn't reflect how he felt in his heart, and most of his responses would have fit into 140-character tweets. After a 45-minute question-and-answer period rife with awkward pauses and repeated questions from dozens of media members in a crowded hotel ballroom, Culliver was quickly and quietly escorted to a side door and out of view.

manti will be espn's new tim tebow, but instead of pleasing god lovers, it will be for the gay community.

maybe it is a gay conspiracy to have manti's draft prospects slip on anal lube so he falls to the 49ers at the end of round one.
