Decided to move my comment to this thread.

I know that it's looking ahead a little, but I like the match-ups for the first two rounds that'll give us a Dayton at Ohio State quarter finals game. If Wright is healthy then this could be a very interesting game to watch.

As long as I'm looking ahead, then I might as well go all the way to the finals and say that beating Florida would be pretty cool too.

Does anyone know how the "hosting" works for the second round (If we make it)?

I think this is going to be a great experience for our young guys, and I think were going to win the whole thing!!!

I believe the first three rounds are hosted at the better seeded team's arena. After that, they go to Madison Square Garden

oh ok cool. Im stuck down here in Gator land and after they lost to "Bama in the SECT, I heard the radio guys say that the school admin had already put in to host a NIT game at the O Dome. Thought we might have to apply or something.

Not sure but I think if we would win the first game we would host the second round game because the Schott would be available and since we are the #1 seed I think as long as we continue we will host.

I'll be at the Dayton game tonight. I will post later about how Wright looks. He is supposedly going to play tonight.

His foot has been healed for a couple weeks now but the only concern from the Docs has been the way he lands. He tends to land left foot first which puts a lot of pressure on that foot when you have a 43 inch vertical. They are trying to teach him to land properly as to not reinjure the foot. Jumping and landing is basically an instict so I don't know how effectively you can coach someone how to land.

I guess well see tonight.

Chris Wright did not play. He was in uniform and doing a variety of Dunks in warm ups. Who knows if he will play at all this year. Dayton was up big in the second half and then Cleve St. switched to a box and 1 on Brian Roberts. He had 19 points with about 10 minutes left in the game and ended up with 21 after they switched defenses. Cleve St. cut the lead to 6 with about 2 minutes but got no closer.

Dayton will travel to Illinois St. who is 16-1 at home and only loss was to Drake. I don't like UD's chances of winning this game on the road. The Bucks will probably be playing Illinois State if they advance on Monday.

Ever since UMass used the Box and 1 on Roberts, shortly after Wright went down, UD has been unable to solve it. Roberts gets too passive, and is slow to recognize the difference between a soft double team and an actual trap, giving up the ball too early. The rest of the guys also seem to be hesitant to attack a 4 man zone. You're probably right about us playing Illinois State rather than Dayton, but I'll still hold out hope for the UD v. tOSU matchup.
