Nico Iamaleava (QB Tennessee, bad poker player, transfer to UCLA)

I don't understand the criticism of the Vol offense - it's absurdly fun to plan in (or at least appears that way).

1). 4 or 5 wide on every down.
2). Shotgun or pistol 100% of the time.
3). 40 attempt per game
4). FAST FAST FAST. 1 Read then go.

Does he want to run the triple? WTF?
I assume it’s because they run 60% of the time.

UCLA passed more often - of course, that’s because they were always behind.

From what I've ever heard, its essentially the old Art Briles Baylor offense. Which is great for college, but hasn't produced any half way decent pros as it doesn't translate to the NFL. And that may have been one of Nico's gripes

Or they want some bullshit cover story for their incredible stupidity.
To go from making 2.4M to 1.75M and in a state that will grab another 13% in taxes. So the move costs about 1M. And they want to shit talk UT offense. Right …..

Probably a little of both.

They could have had legit concerns about the UT offense and how it could develop their man and then totally mismanaged the negotiations of legit concerns.

Wouldn't be the first time in history a good idea was done horribly wrong.

Do you think that UCLA will develop Nico better than UT ? I truly don't know but my gut is telling me that both options are "lacking".

At least he's now playing for a coach who knows that UCLA is located in .... LA. So he has that going for him.
