Nico Iamaleava (QB Tennessee, bad poker player, transfer to UCLA)

I am bothered by the way religion is used in messages such as this. He is not a victim, he made an active choice. If they were his brothers and he felt such kinship in Tenn, he wouldn't be leaving. Next time he sees Ohio St, watch him fold.
It's a dysfunctional if not all out delusional form of narcissism. They believe that they are so important in the scheme of things that the Holy Sinatra ignores war, genocide, famine and disease while taking a hands on role in their foosball games and careers.

Honestly, given the size of the universe, the thought that anything divine that might be out there pays the little dust speck we call home any mind seems rather hubristic to me.

Not only that it's a way to shift blame from their shitty decisions. Notice those that use "god's plan" in this sense almost never show remorse or learning from their bad decisions. It's always it was a higher powers will I suffer this hardship and if I just believe in him harder it'll be ok. Not maybe I done f'd up and probably should learn from that.
