The NCAA disqualified MIT from athletics when they started fielding robots. But at least they got a hefty settlement from Fox Sports.

Interestingly, in Division III athletics MIT is surprisingly strong.

A school like MIT is going to have loads of self-motivated individuals, and at that level I imagine it's less about freak god-given athletic ability and more about putting the hard work in.
